KOTOR 2: Game Help (Hints, Walkthroughs, Strategies)

Ok, I know you can eventually get to train Atton, Mira and Bao-Dur as Jedi. So how can I do this? Is it a particular reply in a conversation? Influence and Persuade skills?

 

Okay, this is a continuation of my last question. I'm still in Iziz and everything's going loco. The Jedi escaped in the Cantina fight, and I still need to talk to him, or should I just leave it at that. One of the soldiers said I should leave Iziz. Should I do that?

 

Yes, leave. YOu have to leave and go to another planet then it will tell you to go back.

to train them you just have to have high persuation and charisma for 1 and 2, take them with you in a few mission let them see you do things they like so you get more influence on them. Talk to the and when they reveal personal stuff about themselves then you are in. Just be sure that when you talk to them you are super nice and say the most jedi like thing.

 

I am new to this board, and have a few questions about this game. I have beaten it as a light-side guardian/weaponmaster, and am just wondering about some wierd stuff I ran into.

First, the swoop races on Telos. Every time I raced, no matter what time I got, the guy says that I didn't place.

Second, how do you get into the military base sublevel on Telos surface? I thought that HK-50 droid that blows up was supposed to blow it open, but no matter how many times I tried it it blew up too soon.

Third, why is it that the bounty hunters still appear in Nar Shadda, even after Mira was in my party? I would have her in my party and be looking at an NPC version of her. I'm thinking its just a bug, but can't hurt to ask.

Fourth, even after I had talked to the hutt and gotten the fuel deliveries thing done, and after it had disappeared from my journal, everone still acted like Telos had no fuel.

Fifth, the bounty on the two excaped criminals on Telos. They never showed up on Telos surface, not in the first game or in the one I just started.

Thats about it. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Alright. I need some more help since I'm having trouble figuring it out myself. I'm stuck in the Academy on Korriban. I've explored all of the rooms except the sealed ones. What should I do next?

EDIT: In other words, what are the test answers to give me access to the training room. I always get either 2/5 or 3/5

 

i have a question about the missions on telos. how do i complete the smuggling operation bounty without getting darkside points? i can't get the cop to talk about it and the guy just keeps asking me to bring him stuff which earns me a darkside point. can you complete this without getting darkside points?

on onderon, can you give your second space port visa to anyone after the civil war has happened? when the soldiers started attacking me on my way out the first time i couldn't get anyone to take it. i'm guessing it's too late now, right?

Is their a way to judge how much influence one has over another charector? A Chart or some such nonsense, not just if they are swayed by you or not...

 

I can't figure out how to blow up Nihilus' ship! I've already killed Nihilus and set three of the bombs, but need to either find or make one more because one was destroyed. I can't get one from the stack of missiles because it has to be unlocked or something, but i have searched the whole ship and can't find a console to unlock it. can anyone help me out?

 

There is a proton missle in the room with the work bench on nihilus's ship... There is a computer terminal in the same room that unlocks it... you can use this as the fourth bomb.

 

Can someone give me a step by step on how to build a lightsaber from scratch, this is really ge ton my nerves, it was so simple in the last game.

 

I hate to say it but I am dissapointed with this game. The first was more of a challenge.

FYI I believe there is a difficulty slider on the options menu. I haven't tried it to see the affects yet but if it was too easy you could try that.

Also lack of lightsabers can be bugged around. There is one being talked about on the Obsidian and the Gamefaqs boards you can check out if your interested. I hesitate to copy and paist other peoples work here.
Just as a summary there is a way to dup lightsabers and all upgrades except your personal crystal once you have a saber.


As far as Training certain people as Jedi I Suspect there are location triggers that go along with the influence.



With Anton I was able to train him after a couple of Twilik Refugees recognized him on Na Shaddar. After I confronted him about what they told me he opened up, told me his past and let me train him. He has to be with you there.

With Mira I got her to agree to let me show her how to listen to the force but the training didn't happen rate then. I had to take her off the ship on Nar Shadda and bring her to the opening infront of the Cantina where you will then teach her how to listen and feel the force on Nar Shadda.


Handmaiden is just a matter of beating her in training and then finding out about her Mother from Kreia and then talking to handmaiden about her. Disciple darn near trips over himself to be trained. You almost can't avoid it.

I haven't figured out the Zabrak yet.

There is no step by step since you get the parts in different places depending on your choices through the game.

You need 4 parts. 3 Fixtures. Engergy Cell Fixture, Emitter Fixture, Lense Fixture, and a color Crystal.

You usually get at least one before leaving Telos. The other plants have various locations where you can get the other parts. These locations will have completed lightsabers instead if you go there after you have built your first saber or the parts you need if you have not.

Going lightside there are two quick ways I know to get all 3 parts to make your saber. Crystals can be purchased from many places along the way so I wont mention that.

you get your first part after helping the ithorians on Telos.

You get the second part after you gain so many lightside points you'll see a scene between the blind sith gal and the force sucking sith lord. After that once you have the ebon hawk and leave the Telos academy all you'll need to do is exit and then enter again and you'll be confronted by the blind girl and when you beat her you will get a piece from her broken lightsaber.

I know 2 quick ways to get the 3rd part. If you go to Dantooine first quickly get permission from the local governor to enter the Jedi Acadamy ruins. Go there rate away and go left when your at the circle in the middle. There will be a door a few turns down the hallway. Clear the bugs from that area and then let the guy out and he'll give you the third part and a color crystal (you'll have to pay him) You can do this within 10 minutes of getting to dantooine.

The other way is on Nar Shadda. The Hutt has one in his storage room. Go to the Cantina and use stealth to overhear two thugs talking about how to get into the storage room. Then go get Juma Juice from the bar keep and then go talk to the guy with the dancers. Either Handmaiden or your PC if your Female can dance for the hut.. That'll knock him out and then you can feed the dogs Juma Juice to put them to sleep. Then break into the storage room to get your final part. (there are other ways to get the parts but these are the fastest ways I have found.)

 

I'm kind of confused by this. I'm on Korriban, still (just woke up), and I was just fighting Darth Sion in the Academy. I had his health bar pretty close to the point of death, and yet Kreia stopped me. Why? He's about as tough as a Deadly Tukata, which isn't much. Heck, Hsissis' (sp?) are tougher than him.

I guess all of this means his part continues, unlike Darth Bandon in KOTOR 1. What else does Sion do?

 

Stuck at a Captain Obvious point I guess....

I'm on Telos, Darkside, and was told to go to Apt B3 for an arms deal for the exchange. Problem is they tell you to go alone, and everywhere I leave my party on Res. East, it still says I have people with me when I go to the door. Also, can't leave people on other levels and come back because they just appear with u on next level u travel to.

What did I miss?

I had beaten KOTOR 1 14 times, and even for someone who had done so much, that got me as well. Start > Party. Unselect everyone, and they'll let you in. The ones conducting this are meer assissins, but you have to kill them to pass this test.

 

yea, just figured that out from somebody else's post about losing their party, and going to bed and adding it through start menu.

Knew it was a CO moment.

I finished it, I have to say I enjoyed that Republic Commando Demo.

You will fight Sion again. And he's still easy to beat. Atleast I thought he was.

Once thing I'm confused on is who is the Sith's Master and who is the Apprentice.

Just thought I'd let that out. By the end:

Bao-Dur gets replaced by his Remote on Malachor V for one last mission. Kreia leaves your party to go to the Trayus Academy.

I also have to know, can Atris join your party? Because I know on lightside and darkside she can't join if your a female, but what about darkside male or lightside male? I messed up on the lightside male (being my 1st game) and im not there yet with my darksider. Thank you in advanced.

 

Sir_Benjmn, sorry but I have not seen any of those glitches save the Telos fuel. I got that one done and I think I remember that someone mentioned later that there was a fuel problem.

Yes. Talk to the merchant and tell him you'll look for the items. Then go right to the Telos security office and talk to the Captain. Tell him what's up and he'll have you set up a sting operation in the landing bay.

Probably. After I completed the investigation, I had two extra visas. I gave one to the guy undercover in the cantina and the other to the woman with the two kids just inside the entrance to the space port.

I grenaded it and had Atton blast it. I also used my disable droid on it which helped. Just don't get next to it or it will fry you.

Smuggler: Yes, you'll find Darth Scion in another place, don't worry. And he'll be tougher to fight at that point.

Theron: Kreia is the master, Scion the apprentice. As you saw, she was Darth Traya and, according to an earlier cutscene, was Scion's master. She's the one that actually caused him to look the way he does when she battled him.

 

I played a lightside male. Atris does not join your party, matter fact you fight her.

Katya_Jade Yeah, I get that part. After Scion and Nihulis (sp?) turn on Traya during that flashback; I thought Nihulis (sp?) was the master and Scion the apprentice. So Nihulis would also be Traya's apprentice? It just seems to me that the two apprentices split, and are now doing their own thing. And or maybe they are doing Traya's bidding without realizing it. I think I need to replay this game again.

I just remembered that with my lightside male i fought her and redeemed her, ad that's how it ended. SO i guess there isn't a way to make her join your party. Man, do any of you remember the trailer, where that sith tomb on Dxun and the guy doing the trailer is using Atris??? Or was it not her? Gosh, it's so frustrating too. Oh well. Also a funny glitch was when i killed atris with darkside female, she fell to the ground dead with her lightsaber on.

 

I'm on Nar Shadda, went to the bar and so on...can't get into that joint with the 'password'.
What do I do now to progress? I'm LS Male, do I have to chose one of my female characters and dance for the Twi'Lek to go somewhere from here?
