KOTOR 2: Game Help (Hints, Walkthroughs, Strategies)

so I was on nar shadda and the game went to the cutscene where the bounty hunters are going to set trap for you. My guys were still to weak to do it, so I decided to do it later. So I went to my last save and decided I would go do Dantooine instead. Did that and now I am back on Nar shadda, problem is I can't get it to go back to where the trap is set for me.

I have pretty much done all the side missions, but no luck on getting the cut scene to start up again.

any idea on what I should do?

 

How far through Nar Shadda were you? Maybe you need to do those quests again. If that doesn't work, try going to the docks, or the entrance to another section of Nar Shadda from the main area. Or, you can go to Onderon or Korriban.

 

yea, already did all the quests that I could do on nar shaddaa. went through and talked to everyone again to make sure. Was thinking about going on to other planets, but figured that probably wouldn't be the best idea. If this is a bug, then I could go through the rest of the game and not be able to beat it because of this and have to do it all over, so I am thinking of just starting over now.

 

OK, I'm on Nar Shadaa and I can't seem to either find Gotto or be able to poison the hutt's hounds. What am I supposed to do?

 

Gotto will capture you at some point, and put you on his yacht.

 

When and where can I expect to be captured?

Is this before the twins catch up with me, and before i put the hounds to sleep?

 

dunno wat ur talking bout but im gonna ask a question. At first in the prolouge my galexy map didnt work(thank god i can skip the prolouge) and after peragus my galexy map didnt work. Somehow my brother got it to work by starting another game (dunno wat that has to do with nething but it worked). was this a glitch or wat. Obsidian still nevr returned the email bout it that i don't need nemore.

It's a bug. After the cutscene, I realized I had all the items for the lightsaber, but it wouldn't let me go back onto the ship, so I loaded the AutoSave from when I entered the ship before the cutscene, made my lightsaber, and went outside. Sure enough, Atton is standing to the side of the landing platform like he is in the cutscene, but the scene won't trigger, and when I talk to him, it's just the normal dialogue options. So I had to go back to the previous Save, which was while fighting the Red Eclipse, so I didn't get put back much. Apparently you just can't mess with that scene. After the cutscene, don't try doing anything extra. Just head straight for the Docks to initiate the scene with Mira or Hanharr. If Visquis wants to see you, you'd better go see him, or he will sabotage your XBOX.

If you're weak get behind the bar and shoot at them from there. You might want to have them chase you around a little, and get away from the enough so they won't follow you. It worked for me I took them both pretty easly. Once you get behind the bar get as close to the wall as possible. Trust me they won't even know what to do.

LOL, Ill have to try that ASAP.

 

PS on that, i tried it but they followed me. Try to lose their attention by running away form their site and then pick a good place that you can see them but not vice versa and boom!

Aust, just keep running around and you should trigger little cutscenes that say you've found a bomb site. Make sure you go through every doorway - I believe most of them are on the outer edges of the map. On the last one, they'll say they blew up a bomb by accident and you'll have to make another. Use the proton core from the engine next to the workbench.

 

this has nothing to do with game help, but i've never played kotor 1, is it beter than it's sequel?

 

Is there a way to Change your character but still be at the same place in the Game(KOTOR 2)? I just got the game a few weeks ago, and i am the Jedi Consular and i just found out that he is the hardest character. i want to switch guys but i dont want to start over on the game. Im at the Jadi Acadamy on the old sith, desert planet. HELP ME PLEASE

 

I had another question regarding the Dark Side game....I didn't see this 'Force Crush' power in my powers list on my last game - does that become an optional power to gain if you're only playing as a DS character??

No, but eventually you'll be able to gain a prestige class (If you're on Korriban and about level 15~16, it shouldn't be too long before you get a chance). If you want to have easier combat choose to become a Jedi Weapon Master (or Sith Marauder if you're Dark Side). I would stick with the Consular though as you are pretty much able to pwn everyone with force powers.

IIRC, you gain it automatically on Dark Side after you kill the Jedi masters on Dantooine.

Nope. You can't switch to a new character in the middle of the game. You can load an earlier save and start from there, but if you don't have that option, you'll need to start over.

It should be there whether you're light side or dark. However, remember that the coolest powers are often the ones that you have to level up consistently to get. In other words, they don't start out as "Force Crush" or "Force Wave". Check the powers list and scroll down on the far right column to see if it's there. (Example: When you're looking at Stun in the 1st column, the leveled up power is Stasis Field in column 3. Stasis is in column 2.)
