KOTOR 2: Game Help (Hints, Walkthroughs, Strategies)

I'm having a similar problem to his.. I've done pretty well everything I can do in the game, I've been playing for 41 hours now, the last 7 of which have been just aimless wandering, with nothing to accomplish.. I finally caved and looked online for help, and apparently what I should be doing at this point is recieving a message on Nar Shadda from Visquis to come and talk to him at the Jekk Jekk Tarr. The message never comes. I've completed every quest and side quest on Nar Shadda with four exceptions.. I haven't been able to sneak past Vogga, because after I put him to sleep the first time, I was dumb enough to wake him back up to talk about fuel, and didn't find out about the juma juice for the kath hounds until tens of hours later (I did Nar Shadda first, then returned after finishing all the other planets when I got stuck), I haven't rescued Karhanna <sp> because obviously I need to get rid of Goto before Fassa will help me, I haven't gotten the new ID for the Ebon Hawk, and I haven't completed the trade wars side quest.. but I've realized from reading faqs and walkthroughs that I can't finish it at this point. I -REALLY- don't want to have to start over, and I don't have a backup save old enough to allow me to try Nar Shadda over (even if I did I wouldn't want to use it, I'd be losing probably 30 hours) so if someone can think of ANY suggestions to get this stupid thing going, I would really appreciate it. (I've already paid off that stupid whistling thing in the cantina area, he says the exchange wants me, with or without my head) Thanks.

 

^41 hours?! I did the entire game in 21. Ouch.

You don't really need to get a new ID for the Ebon Hawk. You get attacked when you go back to your ship anyway. I think that's what you have to do to initiate the Poison Air Bar mission.

 

Actually, you do. It happens automatically after you get captured by Goto, though.

 

omg i know how awful is that well ive been playing for like 59 hours and im starting to give up.......i didnt even get juma juice cause the bartender doesnt ask me if i want it??? now i just walk around ab it every night hopin i get luck who can help lol

i did ive been everywhere but the walkthroughs assume that you do thinkgs in order and once other missions are complete it doesnt say how to go back

 

Getting the juma juice is easy

In the aparment things on the docks activate stealth mode and one of the rooms has to guys in them & they will talk about the juma juice then you ask the waiter to give u some & make sure you have GOOD INFLUENCE on the Handmaiden or the blind babe or if ur a girl u can dance for Vogga yourself then put the juma juice in the bowl

 

which part of the dock in nar shadda? like where u brought that guys wife back to him?

 

yes, 1st door in front of you, activate stealth to hear their conversation.

 

^Go back to the Ebon Hawk. The Exchange will attack you, and you defeat some bounty hunters. Then, you'll get to go to the bar.

 

i fought some guys in the ebon hawk and that when i found visas is that the same fight your talkin about?

 

Yeah, as I mentioned I've been all over the place since the first time I tried to get through Nar Shadda.. I killed those Red Eclipse guys and got Visas a million years ago. The juma juice thing won't work because I can't dance for Vogga again, but that's not even important as far as I'm aware. That's just for your final lightsaber piece, or a random lightsaber depending how far you are. I've read 3 different walkthroughs and they've all said the same thing, that after finishing all the main quests on the planet, the Red Eclipse cut scene will take place. Go back to the ship, kill/deal with them, get Visas.. talk to her for a bit, go back outside.. bada bing Quistis will contact you. Well he never does. I'm 99% sure I'm just screwed because the game glitched and he's never going to contact me. I'm just hoping somebody's going to say something that never crossed my mind, and I'll be able to move on.

 

how do you equip the space suit??

 

You do it automatically on Peragus, and when you go to the Jekk Jekk Tar, Mira steals it and goes in your place.

 

but i cant get mira to appear she never comes

 

Some hints - you can use mines to explode cylinders that are impossible to open.

When I was playing a female, I told Atton I found some clothes at the Paragus station and he went, "Darnit! I mean, darnit for the droids! I think they were offended!" Atton is pretty funny if you go for the lightside route.

 

wow...ok. have you guys finished it yet? the red eclipse guys have NOTHING to do with going further on Nar Shadaa. i dont kno whut you couldhave done to not get further. the problem i have with Nar Shadaa is i can't seem to NOT go further in the game. i just do stuff and i end up going to the meeting with visquis or whatever. how did you go into the jek jek tarr if people aren't attacking you or you aren't mira? also, CAN you make Han Harr a jedi?!

 

No, you can't make Hanharr a Jedi. The only people who can become Jedi are the ones that you can choose to *lead* the party into Freedon Nadd's tomb (Atton, Bao Dur, Handmaiden, Disciple, or Mira).

As for Nar Shadda, it's a glitch. If you don't have a save from before then, restart the game.

 

Hey, possible spoiler dunno for the people who havent played it to far. I really can't kill Visas(sp?) after you get all thoes Red whatever people out of your ship. I think I went there a bit prematurely and I have like no medpacks and I'm a completely light side jedi lvl 12 or 13 any 1 got any tips that can help me beat her....died like 5 times already force sheild does nothing for me =P

 

I recently discovered a COOL and somewhat CHEESEY way to get past this part



Have the blind chick chase u around the ship & have her go wher Kiera is & Kiera pretty much kicks her butt for you if ur too weak to beat her yourself

 

Okay, I am on Nar Shadda and I just poured the Juma Juice in the two beasts' bowl. Corra the Hutt is sleeping and I just went into the secret room with the three Metal Containers. My walkthrough says there should be a Focusing Lens for my lightsaber (it's the last piece I need). But I never got it and I want it because I want my lightsaber, . Is this just a mistake in my book?

 

Would that change the way the story would go if you beat it like that rather than do it myself...My character isn't too weak its just that no matter what I do her lightsaber attacks hit for like 30-50 on me even if I have the second speed, force shield(lvl 3 one with like +6 or 8 def) and melee sheild up. And the b**** hits me with her lightsaber between attacks when I don't have a chance to parry.

 

I have a couple quick questions about the "end game" as it relates to the Prima strategy guide. I'm playing as a light side Jedi and I haven't quite finished the game (so don't spoil me too much), btw. Anyway, when I fight Atris, she never identifies herself as "Darth Traya" and she is still dressed in her white Jedi robes. In the guide it shows her in black that looks a lot like Darth Nihlis (sp?) and the guide makes no exceptions for light or dark side play this way... I thought it was peculiar. Anyone seen it the other way?

Also, now that I'm on Malacore V, Mira had to fight Hannhar (sp?) again. This also isn't mentioned in the guide anywhere It doesn't seem like I could defeat him so I let her fall. Is that going to be a problem?

Lastly, is anyone else experiencing major problems with playing this game? It locks up atleast once a day when I play, usually more, and twice when I was saving, destroying the saved game (luckily I had backup saves and was only set back an hour or so). I've never had a problem with any other games on my XBOX and have never had this much trouble with any game on any system ever. It's terrible...

 

^I played it straight for 2 hours yesterday, and I had no lockups.
