Imagine a game called KOTNR,(knights of the new republic Any thoughts on when it should be set? Since KOTOR is set 4000 years before the galactic empire it would be cool to see KOTNR to be set 4000 years after the galactic empire.

    @DarthReven

The damage-system isn't flawed. You don't multiply 11 and 40, 11-40 is the possible range of damage without bonuses. That means if your attack is successful the damage will at least be 11 and at most 40 + bonuses.

kreia says that others will join revan's crusade(jedi, sith, etc.) and u should start as a headstrong padawan in Galactic City who leaves his/her master.
On Coruscent u have to convince others to join u.There should be several characters to choose from and if you don't have the right influence or whatever they won't join you(i always liked how Juhani didn't have to be part of ur party)
Then u make your way to some frontier planet and find atton or something who shows u the way
At some point you find Revan and then have the option to become him from there on if u wish.

that wouldnt work beacuse with the NJO serries left off the new republic is almost dead. The jedi are in disaray and there are very few milatary forces left. A game 4000 years later would have to answeer alot of questions about what happend and the NJO aouthors might not like that.

    2oissan

thanks for the correction on damage. It makes alot of sense now.

    2Valacar
you said you Pm'ed me but i have got no reply. I tried sending one to Lord Zeron and nothing happend. Is the system flawed or something?

    2 Reven Disciple

i totaly agree wioth you about how the Exile sucks. While he is cool in his own way, Reven is more powerful, looks cooler. About the power issue, you may remeber asking Kreia what you look like. She says you look like the death of the force, but Reven is the force in its full power.

    Darth Reven

    EDIT

has any one used the Prima Guides for Kotor1 and 2? i checked one at a friends place and it SUCKED. It is fool of loop-wholes and doesnt include any influence spots. ( like kiling the lost-mandalorain for Hanhar or HK) while i am sure every body here has beet the game i decided to put this in for any-new comers to the thread who havent.

i just heard about the new Xbox 360 coming out in fall 2005. ( acording to a new-yourk times article. I dubt they could get bad info) This will probaly be the platform of Kotor3 and will have the processing power over the fastest home computers availible. This aoutomaticly means that there should be faster loading times and better graphics. ( i've noticed that earlier on this thread people wanted better graphics and loading times.

Also, if you look at the beginig of the thread there is a "Dante..." who has a very interesting idea about that "threat" could be the Vong insted of more sith. good point actualy. It would also make people like tyson happy since it would include the vong. * i still like the sith more though, no starwars is complete without some battle agains a sith/jedi master with light-sabers in the end. *

I admit Revan looks cooler, but I like the Exile a hell of a lot more. I just wanted to ask who thinks Revan is stronger than the Exile. As in, more powerful than him/her. I mean, on the Star Forge, Revan took on a lot of troops but had allies...

I say it would be Reven. You may remeber Kreia saying that you look likr the death of the force but reven is the force in its full power. You cant do it by levels since ther eis a level cap in kotor 1 but i have a feeling people will say reven. ( i KNOW reven discipple will)

The exile is sweet, dont give me wrong Revan is kool too. But thats the advantage kotor 2 has over kotor 1. The new force powers, the lightsaber forms, and the new prestige classes.

    THE EXILE WOULD DESTROY REVAN

You have to consider the limits Revan can extend to. I believe the Exile wouldn't be a match for Revan if both of them were at their greatest potential.

More on note with the actual thread:

It would be cool if there was a new character and he/she was a mandalorian and you can become a jedi.

You shouldn't be able to start out as a jedi in KotOR3 because the Exile was the "Last Known Jedi" and he/she wasn't even a jedi.

KotOR 3 needs to have the PC start out as a lowly Sith apprentice. The Sith Empire is crumbling without leadership at this point, so the PC would have no reason to stick around.

The PC would then either try to unite the Sith, or abandon them, but would eventually searching for the Exhile and Revan, joining in the confrontation against the True Sith Revan sought.

After the battle, the survivors would reform the Jedi Order. It'd be a great game.

I love that idea.( Valacars) Kinda like Kotor 1 as where you start as a scout, scoundroul etc. When i first heard of Kotor 2 that what i though was going to happen. I know that it got kinda boring after a while of starting force power. the one thing they need to do is not maked you stay on the jedi path. You could go to level 8 scout, take 3 levels of consular and then decide that you wanted an extra level of scout. After they finsh the last Kotor( kotor3) they should do onewith all these features ( like infulence) but make your charater NONE jedi. Ad prestige clases like meele fighter, Elite trooper and snuiper, and you would never need a jedi. ( still can fight them) I think that the charters should be mandalorians since they have traditionaly killed the most jedi not counting sith. While they SHOULDNT do the Manadlorain wars( not open ended) you could do before or after thouse times. Maybe serving Canderous on special missions... They should keep the light/dark meter so you can judge your charater and maybe have one charater on alignment( like mira/hanhar) Alos make the light/ddark alot like fear and respect haviung Dark in timidates and frightens, light helps and encourages. ( like a NPC gets to frieghtend if dark and tells everything but never helps if not directly threatend, light will have a toughr time finding out about that guy but he will save you if you are about to die.

Also, i mentiend a leadership feat earlier, does any one have a coment on that. ( earlier on the thread) You knwo, they rwaly should work on the Sith'ari prophecy.

I will be gone for about week so send all your thoughts about my ideas and i'll reply them then.

that wouldnt work beacuse with the NJO serries left off the new republic is almost dead. The jedi are in disaray and there are very few milatary forces left.

At the end of the NJO the galaxy is more united than it's been in decades. The Jedi are only slightly diminished (but there's several up and comers) and they've become more powerful than ever.

There's still plenty of military power out there. It remains to be seen what happens in the new series though.

    I like Aragorn's idea.

well ocording to the New Jedi oreder scource book the serries ends with the fall of coruscant and milatary forces are in dissaray. The is alot of resitance fighting out there. The jedi oreder is severly weekend but some of the strongest are still there. The voxyn queen has been kiled though... Oh by the way, Aragorn: Great Idea!

That's because the NJO sourcebook was published at the time of Star by Star, which is the midpoint of the 19-book series. The war is over, the Vong lost, and are exiled circa The Unifying Force.

Did anyone in KOTOR 1 try waiting until Danooine to level up. I'm not sure if it works but i thought that I'd have more Force powers. It's a pain in the @$$ to try though, and I still leveled up three times.

    P.S. I got tickets!!!!!!!!!

Yeah that would definitely be good news but I doubt we'll hear anything at E3. Maybe in a few months they'll offer up some news that they're starting to work on it but I think it's too early to announce KOTOR 3 at E3.

have not read this entire thread, (too long...) but read the first several and last several pages and didn't see this idea...

sorry if someone already brought it up.

obviously the next KOTOR needs to wrap up all the loose ends from the first two, so really this is an idea for the fouth game. how about Knights of the New Republic. set it 1000 years after the Vong invasion. Yes I know, then you wouldn't be able to say, "Co-tore" but I still think it would be cool. maybe you could have a Vong warrior as a party member...

oh that and I'd like to see different animations that fit with whatever lightsabre form you're using. lots of jumping and crap for form 4, one handed for form 2, big bold moves for 5 etc... and you should be able to learn Vapaad... though I suppose that would only work if the game was set sometime after the rise and fall of the empire, and then they might not know about Vapaad. maybe a Windu holocron or something...

    anyway, i'll stop rambling now...

EDIT: oh I almost forgot, you deffinatly need a couple of hot female characters who you can get into their underwear or a slave outfit like it the first two, that was cool... <homer>hmmmmmmm, handmaiden...</homer>

    SPOILER SPOILER

KOTOR2 Light Side ending - Malachor V is ripped a new one (again) with the mass shadow generator. Exile escapes on Ebon Hawk and jumps to hyperspace. Roll Credits.

KOTOR2 Dark Side ending - Ebon Hawk falls into depths of Malachor and the mass shadow generator is NOT activated. Exile throws Kreia into Malachor V core and walks around the Sith "temple" thing. Camera pans up, through all the holes in Malachor. Roll credits.
