I just shut the system and start the game over. Those space battles really bring the game down. Crappy gameplay.

This is how I do it Master-Fett:

At the beginning of the scene, shoot like hell and you will automatically shoot down 2-4 fighters and after that mad second, watch your radar, then see the nearest red dot, once the dit is close to the center aim at it and if takes a dive hitting you, then shoot like hell at it and you should blow it up. Do it to the rest and during waves, try to shoot at them mid air. it will take a while but it will work and if you concentrate it hard, then you might not take much damage!!!

Well it works for me, try concentration on aiming and fire like hell. Try for a while and you get use to it. I had the same problem as you when I first played it.

is there anywhere that someone has collected all of the dialog from the game? in a script form or whatever? Cause there are storylines it would be nice to go back and read about after you have passed that stage of the game.

    any help? thanks

I don't know if you can find an actual script for the game, but it's very easy to listen to any of the voice tracks in the game. Just find your KOTOR directory (should be C:\Program Files\LucasArts\SWKotOR) and look in the streamwaves folder. Everyone of those .wav files is actually a .mp3 file, so just rename them to .mp3 and they should play fine. Just remember to make a copy of the file to another folder, as I'm not sure if KOTOR will still work playing the renamed files.

BTW, if you don't feel like renaming hundreds of files, you can find programs on the internet that will rename an entire group of files for you. I've used one in the past, but I don't remember what it's called.

You can either use the Windows XP Power Toys Power Renamer (free trial), or can do it yourself in DOS. The command might dosomething like

    copy *.wav \copied\*.mp3

My mates just come round bragging that he's the first ever person in the entire world to do something on KOTOR.

He reckons he can go back to Taris and restart the game from the beginning but with all his characters and all his levels up. He's googled but couldnt find any cheats like this. So is it anything special or is he full of ****.

    this is on xbox BTW

Hey, I was just curious if anyone ever figured out what the alternate endings were for the X Box version. I know there is a light side ending and a dark side ending, and I have gotten both. But I've heard RUMORS of a cheat that you do near the end of the game, with two controllers. You hold L+R and do something or other before opening the doors to go and fight Malak...is there any truth to this? If so...what are the alternate endings? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, there is an alternate ending. It's kind of amusing, but you're not missing anything really.

Before opening the final door to Malak, press both triggers and the (Y) button on controllers plugged into ports 1 and 4. After your first dialogue with Malak, your character will use a force attack on him that turns him into a dancing twi'lek girl. "Malak" dances for a few seconds and then either the normal light or dark ending plays out.

    *shrugs*

i got HK-47 and went to the sand people territory the second time, but when i get close to the turrents (without encountering any enemies) i get blasted to hell and i have no idea why. maybe i messed up somewhere earlier. any ideas, this is really limiting my progression.

I don't think you did anything wrong. As far as I know, you need to kill some sandpeople to get their outfits, then equip it and wear it up there. The turrets won't shoot at you if you (and the other human members of your party) are wearing the little disguise.

I hope that helps, although you may be reffering to something else.

Also, part of the disguise is the gaffi sticks. If you're wearing the sandpeople clothes, but you're carrying blasters and lightsabers, the turrets will still target you.

Before you can use codes in SW:KOTOR, you must first enable them. Open notepad or any other plain text editor (Textpad, Wordpad, BBEdit, etc.), and open the file "swkotor.ini" in your SW:KOTOR folder (by default C:\Program Files\LucasArts\SWKotOR). In this file you will see sections with titles in brackets ([title]). Go to the [Game Options] section, and add the line

    EnableCheats=1

under the last setting (Disable Movies=0 by default).

Then save the file and close your program. Cheats are now enabled! To use cheats ingame, hit the tilde key (~) on your eyboard (usually to the left of the 1 key), and a greater than character (>) will appear in the top-left corner of the screen. Then just type one of the codes with the proper syntax and enjoy!

As you can see I added the EnableCheats=1 under Game Options & I still cant bring the console down, I press "'" & "SHIFT + '" or even the "~" AND "SHIFT + ~" And nothing happens, is there anything wrong in my .ini file?, the line described as Disable Movies=0 doesnt exist in my file, what do I do to enable cheats then?

Ha ha ha. I just had an interesting encounter with Malak. In the final encounter, I'd destroyed all but one of the captive Jedi. While next to this last one, Malak and I dueled for a bit, then I did the Death Field on the captive Jedi (which also affected Malak). At this point, I think Malak was just about to drain the Jedi himself, as he turned into a neutral character. He just stood there. I couldn't attack him and he didn't attack me. I had to reload the game. Heh heh.

Ag. There's so many bugs in this game. The one that I hate is when you stop walking and turn to walk into another direction your two other guys always stop right in front of you.

    Arrrgggg...I hate that one too.

'He reckons he can go back to Taris and restart the game from the beginning but with all his characters and all his levels up. He's googled but couldnt find any cheats like this. So is it anything special or is he full of ****.'

This can be done on the PC version? Could you tell me how to do it, General_BlackLegion? It would be fun to try after I beat the game.
