I haven't killed her yet. I ran into her after my party was mauled by the hounds pretty badly, she killed us all.

So you're saying I could have been a Sentinel and then changed my blade to Green?

Ugh...I should have done that! They should tell you such things.

I guess you only get a red blade if you turn dark? I'm playing a light character, level 8 Scout, and my next character will be dark.

I read something on the kotor website that said that different crystals will affect your color, does it make them brighter or what are they talking about?

Genghis, have you found Marka Ragnos's gauntlets yet, in his tomb? The door they're behind might be one of the ones you're describing; I too used T3 to access several of the sealed mausoleum doors in a few of the tombs, but I don't recall offhand if these were among them. T3's skills were probably around that same neighborhood, perhaps a little bit higher (seeing as how I tackled Korriban very late in the game).

2)Is there a secret to finding out the problem with the grove? I mean, is there a trick or something? The Council said something about not being deceived...is there something that is underlying what I see on screen? I kill the Hounds, solve the 'murder' mystery, and end up helping the different people I see.
[/blockquote]I think it means that the Council were cautioning you not to rashly jump to a premature condemnation of Juhani (knowing full well of her presence there), and also knowing that she could possibly be redeemed in the end.

Once you defeat her in combat (somewhat difficult solo, as she uses "stasis" on your companions) and if you choose to redeem her (assuming your "Persuade" skills are sufficiently peak), the grove will be cleansed. By "not being deceived," they mean to not instantly rush into the "obvious" conclusion that she's simply your typical, run-of-the-mill Dark Sider.

Another person around here just lately punched her ticket, and regretted it down the road.

    [blockquote]
3)Is it bad to be a Jedi Consular? I just wanted the green saber even though the Council said I'd be better suited to a yellow one.
[/blockquote]Depends if you want to be more highly specialized in combat, or not. If so, I'd advise choosing to train as a Guardian or a Sentinel; Consulars have better "parry" and healing abilities later in the game, but the others concentrate more upon the physical arts.

Bummer...Ah well, I guess a Jedi Consular is better than a non Jedi anything!

Hi... i am choosing the dark path...
all i know is killing killing killing....
In Dantooie,I killed the dark jedi... but after I read the tips in the net... i just found out she is one of the characters that will join my team...
    What should I do now??
Do i have difficulty to finish the game without the JEDI in my team???

Well, having her would make getting throught the temple a bit easier, but not impossible. As a dark jedi, you would have to kill her anyhow later...

Yeah. I did the same thing. I figured, if I'm going dark, I might as well be evil to the best of my ability. However, I almost never used Juhani in my lightside game, apart from the point where she is forced into your party, so yeah. I'm thinking darkside powers would cover having another saberist anyway.

Juhani is a Jedi Guardian---combat fighter. She'll prove her worth, believe me. She has her own side quest too, though by the time I activated so late in the game, it was too late to see what becomes of it.

If you're a Jedi Consular you specialise more in Force fighting than physical prowess . . . which could be quite interesting when I eventually replay the game. A Jedi Sentinel, like Bastila, is just a balance between the two.

I went in with three sentients first (myself, Bastila and Carth) all dressed in tusken raider robes...however, since they saw through the disguise once I was inside and I couldn't communicate with them, I made a hasty retreat and changed Carth to HK just outside their front door, then walked back in. Hope that works.

I am trying to do all the sidequests.... Where should I bring out Juhani to activate hers? I was clued into letting Mission out on Dantooine by a friend, and activated the Bastilla's mother quest because I almost always have her, but in general, my party is me, HK, and Bastilla, so it's easy for me to miss triggers that require other characters.

First, make sure that you've gotten far enough in her dialogue. (I think up to her mentioning being auctioned as a slave or something)

If you've done that, I think you just have to travel around to different starports until her quest triggers. Both parts of the quest happened for me on Manaan, so you might want to try there.

Entrance into the Tusken compound couldn't be easier: with HK-47 to translate, just wear their robes and talk diplomatically. The droid will warn you if you persist in offensive comments to them. They get easily offended, so don't touch their chests and baskets.

Wait till you hear their history---and origin!

I hate to admit I need help, but I do.

I was playing last night and saved the game right before you run into the Mandalorians on Dantooine on your way back to the Council. I am playing my Level 1 Consular Jedi, Carth, and Canderous. When I saved the game, it was right as the Mandalores started shooting. Now I can't seem to beat them.

I put on my Mandalorian Melee Shield and hit them with an adhesive grenade, followed up by a couple different grenades. But once that adhesive wears off, they keep kicking my butt!

How do I get past them?

I don't know a specific trick to dealing with them, but my general advice would be to keep trying. Sometimes you can get lucky. Try different weapons and grenades. Take a look through your inventory. Hope this helps. :)

It might help to focus on the red one first. He's the hardest one to beat. After him, the others go down pretty easily. Also, you can try using vibro-swords instead of lightsabers. They use energy shields that will absorb some of the damage from your lightsabers. Mostly just try to keep them all in one spot and have one person lob grenades while the other two people attack. I used my main character, Bastila, and Canderous here, so that may have helped a bit. Oh yeah, I also had to use quite a few medpacs to keep from dying. Until I used those medpacs combined with my Jedi healing powers, I kept getting beaten.

    Darth-Horax . . .

I did the same thing---but who said you can't run away?

The Mandalorian boss Sheruk game chase, but he won't follow too far. Switch to long range blaster (I was Canderous at that time). You can't fail. Provoke an attack: he'll take several hits before he close to strike range with you. Just run away and repeat the procedure.

It's that simple. Well, if Ordo's blaster has rapid shots, that is. :D

I just tried the little "voice pitch" easter egg thing, but now I can't get the voices to go back to normal. Please tell me this isn't permanent! :_|

    Hi hi! ^^

    I need some help with KOTOR please. n.n;

I know this may sound like a stupid question, but does anyone know how to correctly do the 'romance' subplot? (For th' record, I'm playing as a female)

I did have an issue of GameNow that had it how to do it properly, but I misplaced it and I can't find it. >_>

Also, I need some assistance on the third Jedi trial.

    I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you! ^^

I think you have to be a male character to get the romance subplot to work properly. It was certainly... interesting. :p

    ---------

The third Jedi Trial is fairly easy if you've leveled up enough. Just go out into the courtyard, then go south twice. Once to the Matale grounds, then to the Grove. Walk around the grove until you come to a stone structure. Here, you'll fight Juhani.

To beat her, pump yourself up with as many stims as you can, put on a personal shield, and just hack away at her. When her life gets down to a certain point, she'll stop, and a dialog scene starts up. At this point, you can do one of two things:

1.) Persuade her to come back to the light (by either using your Persuade skill if it's high enough or just picking answers that will coax her back. It took me a couple tries to do this). If you bring her back to the light side, she'll be a playable character when you leave Dantooine.

2.) Just kill her for some dark side points if that's the way you want to go. Either way, you complete this trial.

    I hope that helps!

I finished off the Mandalorians last night. I hit them first with an adhesive grenade...well first I gave Carth and Canderous the most powerful blasters I had so they wouldn't run up to fight them. Then I hit them with two plasma grenades and a frag grenade, followed by another adhesive and an ion grenade, I beieve. That made real short work out of them.

Now I'm off of Dantooine and ready to roll!

Does it matter what side of the color crystal you put your power crystals in your lightsaber? Does it affect it differently, or does it even matter where you put them?

The colour crystals don't affect how your saber works, they're pretty much just decoration. The other crystals are the important ones, though - there are some real powerful ones out there. When you go up against Malak, you're going to need some hella good crystals in your lightsaber(s) to beat him.

Right, I got that part, but what about the ALIGNMENT of the power crystals. You have two slots, does it matter what position they're in?
