KOTOR Prima's Official Strategy Guide

I was curious, what's KOTOR's startegy guide like? Is it good? Online reviews I've seen suggest it isn't. Are the walkthroughs good enough to get?

 

Is it me or are all the ones on Gamefaqs unfinished? I was looking through them and most end after a few planets. Just too much to this game.

I didn't even know there was an "official" guide. Is it still for sale? I suppose for the PC it is. I wonder how different that is from the Xbox though.

I've seen it. It's excellent. I was wondering about the official guide, how informative it was.

 

I have the official guide, and it, like everything else Prima publishes, is remarkably okay. Does its job, but it could have done more. It has useful maps, which the online faqs, like the ones at gamefaqs.com don't have or do very well, but it omits some details that online faqs had, and visa versa. It does have histories of all the characters and a complete breakdown of weapons, equipment, etc. which can also be found in the faqs.

 

I picked up the Prima guide over winter break, and have enjoyed it immensely. I have found it VERY helpful.

 

Thanks! I found the Prima guides for the Starcraft games very informative, a real mission campaign breakdown, even if the grey paper was ugly.

 

Yeah, the StarCraft guides from Prima are great, too; I've got those, as well. I also have Prima's guide for the original Half-Life, which is AWESOME, and their guides for Aliens vs Predator 1 and 2, and for 'Alien Resurrection' for the original PlayStation.

Needless to say, I've never had a problem with any Prima guide I've ever bought.
