Sorry it took me a while to get this up. I got all the details, then the flu !

Once again the 501st has invited us to walk the parade this year.Standard parade route is about 3 miles, so bring your walking boots. TV coverage will be done by CW2 (formerly WB).Get all dressed in your costume and march to this years ridiculous theme of "Irish Roots and Cowboy Boots"

What: Parade
When: assembly time 8ish.
Who: Any star wars costume.
Where: Assemble at 22nd and Blake (coors feild parking lot) , We will be divison 2, unit 2-46
Why: why not?

Also, if we want we can bring candy to hand out to the kids along the parade route, no throwing.We dont need a repeat of the klingon inspired incident. Also, saber fighting is a no go. This is a great event, but once again it looks like I wont be able to attend.

Someone told me they would be willing to act as prisoners in front of the judges. I cant remember who it was but the garrison likes te idea. So speak up if you want to do it.

State if your coming and what you think youll be wearing. We are tring to avoid multiple of major charecters and get a head count.

If you have any questions let me know and Ill get them answered.

 

I was the one who suggested the prisoners. I don't have binder cuffs though, so someone will have to step up and make a few sets.

I'll be attending as ANH Leia, as usual. I'd be more than happy to be escorted by Troopers as well. It's their entry, I'll work with what they want.

 

What day/date is the parade?

 

Well duh... St. Patrick's Day

 

i will wave and yell at y'all.

 

I thought there was talk about it being on the 10th or some other oddball date.

I'll be off on spring break vacation, otherwise I'd be there. My old Rebel Fleet Trooper costume should still be around in circulation if anyone wants to wear it (if S_C or Zoo or whoever has all the parts to it).

Now that we have a surplus of Ewoks, I think next year for the parade it should be reversed and we should have a bunch of Ewoks holding the troopers hostage. After all, the Empire did lose. LOL.

 

Well, since we have a bunch of smallish Ewoks... I say we make them a wooden cart to carry the "prisoners" in for next year... And then the following year, when they're a little bigger we let them bust out of the cart and throw foam rocks at the Troopers for the Grand Stand bit.

Zoom, you're only the cool geek in Pueblo. That's like being the least drooling-est kid on the short bus. I wouldn't go waving that around.

So is anyone planning on doing anything afterwards. I will be doing a pub crawl...being my irishy self.

Also there is a U2 cover band, yeah I know, at Fados around 5 on Saturday! i am STOKED!

Perhaps but I'm not really sure what to do as far as marching with the 501st. Jedis don't march.

 

You just show up, walk, wave at the kiddies and look impressive... I think you can handle that.

My parade days are over... Until I get a new knee.

 

I'll be there. I think I'll wear my Padme' pilot outfit this time. I was thinking of my Hoth Leia, but my Padme' is just a bit cooler.

 

I was thinking about going. But I don't know. I did it a few years back and that was alot of fun.

 

I could maybe arrange for one to go missing from one of my customers...
