MOD LAJ_FETT has passed away

I am late to this very sad announcement. As a relatively new member, I have greatly benefitted from this forum's stability for oure escapism, and have appreciated all the efforts of mods and admins to keep it running smoothly.

25 years of service from LAJ_Fett to us SW fans is amazing and we continue to benefit from her legacy. I hope her family and friends are beginning the slow and painful process of coming to terms with their loss. Peace and love to her and those who knew her, and to anyone affected by grief in our community.

Awful news. I haven't been nearly as active in the past few years as I used to be, so when I jumped on here after months just to see this my heart just sank. She'd be around as far as I can remember. I'm sorry she's gone, not because of this community but because she deserved far more in life.

 

I'm very sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers are with Fett's family.

I haven't logged into this forum in forever but a Google search led me here and I saw the banner. Laj Fett is definitely a name I remember from back in the day, and really any time I popped in, she was always working somewhere in the forums. I wanted to offer my condolences to everyone who knew her online and offline.

I've been saving this for a while. I did not interact with LAJ Fett much. But looking back on her posts, I just wanted to pay my condolences. She was a great one. Every mod like her helps the JCF have a firm foundation. Certainly, she was strong and helpful. It's a difficult task, but she had empathy; she helped; and we are grateful. RIP.

 

I've been away for a long time, so finding my way to back and seeing that banner kind of put a hole in my heart. I didn't interact with her much, but she was always so nice whenever I had the chance. She will be missed.

 

As many recent visitors to this thread, I haven't been here or logged in for a while. But it only feels right to say something. There's no right thing to say in these times. I just want to send healing thoughts to LAJ Fett's family and friends.

 

I can't not think of her when I drink herbal tea, leading me into quiet reflection and contemplation.

I'm really glad the staff has kept the banner up with the thread link. She really deserves the commemoration. It's good that people who've been away for a while have been able to become aware of her loss this way and have the chance to add their condolences here.

Hopefully if LAJ's non-forum family and friends ever still come back to this thread, they can get a sense of just how many people appreciated her around here.

Wow I remember her from when I was here a few years ago. I only recently started posting again. Saw the news. RIP to her. Hope her family are doing okay

 

Even though I haven't met her and just found out about her passing. I hope her family is doing well or okay.
