Hi, I'm a Star Wars hardcover novels collector and always tought that Lando Calrissian and the Flamewind of Oseon & Lando Calrissian and the Mindharp of Sharu only were made in hardcover by SFBC. I have some pictures showing hardcover version of Starcave of Thonboka !!!

*** Lando Calrissian and the Starcave of Thonboka HARDCOVER ***

I would like to know if somebody got it ?

    Thanks

I think someone on this board had actually emailed the author, who confirmed that there was never a HC edition of the last book. Maybe this is a custom or a proof copy?

That was one trippy-as-hell book, in a trippy-as-hell trilogy.

But then again, I was stuck with the mass market paperback three-in-one. ;)

I also had the three-in-one paperback, and yes, that's a very trippy tale. When I thought about it recently, it occurred to me that the Oswaft are basically Space Whales (threatened by Imperial hunters, living off their version of plankton in the ThonBoka, etc.).

I had the all-in-one paper back too. It's a good deal, but I was pleased when I finally tracked down the individual paperbacks, which is something I haven't even bothered to do for the film novels.

If that is real, I want it SOOOOOO badly. I've never been so envious of someone's SW item.

Maybe a library edition or a Book Club edition? Publishers do all kinds of specialty short runs of books.

Agreed, that's a cool find. Although I think I stopped reading one of the novels in high school when I hit the cereal commercial joke... :)

i was thinking library edition or some custom binding -- i just dont think any of the book clubs made an edition of the last Lando book. Maybe a book club outside of the US?

I knwo these books have a bad reputation, but I really enjoyed them. They're just not very Star Wars-ish!

What other books from the Star Wars universe don't have the SW name in the title?

Valin's right. The only books without Star Wars in the title are:
    - Lando Calrissian And The Mindharp Of Sharu
    - Lando Calrissian And The Flamewind Of Oseon
    - Lando Calrissian And The Starcave Of Thonboka
    - Han Solo At Stars' End
    - Han Solo's Revenge
    - Han Solo And The Lost Legacy
    - Splinter Of The Mind's Eye

Hi everybody, I'm sad to tell you that the Starcave of Thonboka copy pictured on my website exist BUT it is custom made by myself. The true SFBC edition never came out. I'm happy with the result because it looks real and do a very nice addition to my collection. I've received some emails from people who wanted to know more about it so I decided to tell the true about it...

They didn't make one so I made mine :)

    Thanks

All I can say is....WHEW! As much as I would like to complete the set with a HC book, I was not looking forward to spending hundreds of dollars to track this one down!

Nice work on the custom job...
