Hello, Jar-Jar. I appreciate you inviting me to be a guest on your late show.

I apologize for the delay in responding to your questions. My life has been hectic lately. Without further ado, here are my answers.

My answers to questions 1 and 2 are:

My Star Wars story is quite simple. I've been a fan ever since I saw Return of the Jedi in theaters when I was a kid. I think I was nine, but I could have been ten. My memory of my precise age is vague, but I recall going to see it in the theater with my childhood friend. She invited me to see it for our birthdays. We shared the same birthday but were a year apart. I can't remember if we watched it on our actual birthdate or not. I saw Star Wars: A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back on VHS some time later, although I'm not sure when. I wish I could remember. The Return of the Jedi has been my personal favorite Star Wars film since the first time I saw it, but I also enjoy watching all the other films as well as all the live-action and animated series.

Basically, I love all things Star Wars.

My answer to question 3:

I purposefully sought out this forum in the sincere hope that I would be welcome and accepted here, despite the fact that I'm a fan of the prequels, sequels, and all of the SW television series. I did the same for the Facebook SW fan groups I'm currently in. I joined these specific groups because the administrators have made it abundantly clear that the usual viciousness and bullying in the fan base would not be tolerated. Despite being a lifelong fan, I only recently started interacting with other fans online and witnessed firsthand the viciousness and bullying that are so prevalent in the fandom.

I'd like to be able to engage with other SW fans without encountering too much negativity from the OT fans, who apparently regard themselves as the gatekeepers of the fandom and insist on telling me what I can and cannot like about SW. My personal opinion on the subject is "to each their own."

I love the prequels!

I remember being so thrilled when I first heard about The Phantom Menace. I was very happy about it. I took my oldest son, who was five years old at the time, to see it at the theater. He doesn't remember it, but I do. I wanted to share my love for SW with him. I went back and saw it again afterward.

I have mixed feelings about it. I'm grateful for all of the new Star Wars content since he sold LucasFilm to Disney, but I wish he was still at the helm.

1.Yes, I like some other movies and TV shows, but not as much as I like Star Wars.
Some of the other movies I like are the LOTR trilogy, the Hobbit trilogy, the Harry Potter films, the Downton Abbey films, and some horror films.
Some of the other TV shows I like are Downton Abbey, The Crown, Wednesday, Supernatural, and The Fall of the House of Usher, to name a few.

2. Yes, I have a few hobbies. The following are my favorites:
I enjoy reading biographies, history, and historical fiction. I'm really into the Civil War era and enjoy visiting battlefields, cemeteries, and other places related to the Civil War, as well as other historical locations and cemeteries in the United States. I especially enjoy visiting old cemeteries. I don't travel often, so when I do, I try to make the most of it. I also enjoy researching and investigating the paranormal (mainly ghosts, hauntings, historical haunted places, cryptids, and UFOs). It's an alluring hobby that I enjoy pursuing on my own, but I'm not a professional paranormal investigator by any means.

3. Yes, I have multiple-aged children (young adults and teenagers).

 

1. How'd you meet your husband?
2. What's your favorite curse word? I know you can't say the actual word. Do your best.
3. What'd you go to school for?

 

1. I met my husband during a fellowship dinner at church in March 1992. His father was my pastor at the time. We married ten months later.
2. I don't have a favorite curse word. I try not to use swear words because my husband and I once agreed not to use them around our children.
3. I only attended college for a couple of semesters in my early twenties before dropping out to stay at home with my oldest son when he was a baby.
I've spent the last thirty years being a stay-at-home mom, raising and homeschooling my children while also taking care of my husband and our home.

2. Not all of my family, but my husband and a couple of our children like Star Wars as well.

3. Yes. I have some dogs and cats, two tortoises, and two leopard geckos.
