Good catch, Ben. I have gotten so used to these issues coming out on time that I lost count. :)

Dark Horse Comics has done a real good job this year. The first year of Legacy was a bit sporadic, especially the period when they released issue # 4 as a interm to keep fans happy.

As much as I want to see how the Vector arc ends, I must confess that I am already more excited to see #31 and the Mon Cal Rangers! :D

    You would be. [face_talk_hand] :p

I think I'm definitely more excited for the end of Vector - mostly because of how well John and Jan are integrating it into Legacy - than for what immediately follows. But that may change depending on how the rest of Vector goes...

Excellent, all that is left is 2 more issues!

And why is this a big deal, you ask? Because neither DC or Marvel have managed to get their issues out on time for their big events: Infinite Crisis, Civil War, Final Crisis, World War Hulk - all were series that took far longer than the intended span to complete their run. As a crossover spanning 12 issues, Vector is DHC's equivelent: A big, high-profile, risky project.

I'd love it if they can nail all 12 issues in a year. It'd be a major achievement and would hopefully give them some more attention.

    Saving roll vs foam: failed.

However, [face_thinking], she'll never do it again, right?

The first three pages are from the preview

Cade, Azlyn, and Morne bust in the window of a building with one Devaronian Sith and some stormies. Morne turns the troopers into raks and they bite the Sith. He escapes and presumably heads back to tell Krayt what's up. Draco reports to Emp. Fel about the talisman. Fel, sparring with some unnamed blond hottie tells draco no matter what happens with the Krayt assassination attempt he wants the talisman. Ganner and Azlyn have feelings for each other. draco tells Ganner and Azlyn about Fel's orders and Azlyn doesn't like the idea of Fel having the talisman and walks away. Draco tells Ganner that he may have to kill Azlyn if she doesn't go along and Ganner says you;ll have to go through me first. Cool line from Ganner -- "As Imp Knights, we obey the emp but only as long as the emp serves the light side of the Force." then goes on to say if an Emp falls to the dark side it's their duty to bring him back to the light or remove him. Karness is messing with the heads of Shado, Azlyn and Cade. Shado while meditating saw himself strike down morne and talisman came to him. Jariah and Blue are on the Mynock hiding somewhere and Blue's missin Cade and Syn tells her not to worry and stuff. Azlyn heads to morne's room to kill her and Cade stops her at the door. They fight, they make out and head back to cade's room. Cade and Azlyn are in their skippies when Karness starts messin with Azlyn's head. Cade goes to morne's room to tells her that Karness is messin with everybody and it better stop. threats insue. Morns is surprised Cade doesn't sense Karness, Cade says he does but it just makes him laugh. They fight, then stop. Morne reinterates for the twentieth time "I am his prison and I'm his prisoner." Cade says I don't care, just help him kill krayt or stay out of the way. the end.

It's alot cooler than this summary.

I think Legacy has suffered the worst from Vector. The origin story was interesting. The Dark Times story was tragic and different from the origin story. Rebellion was pretty throw away, more of the same Rakghouls attack with no drama because there were no characters that could die (even Morne was going to be in Legacy).

I think I am a little burned out on Morne and her "I'm his prisoner, he's my prisoner, angst." IMO it hasn't been done very well. Which Vector Issue is this? Are we done yet.

That being said I haven't read this issue yet but I don't feel the same immediacy as I do for KOTOR.

Haazen trumps Krayt, what does that say?

That Krayt needs to slaughter more Mon Calamari and add in some wookiees as well?

Seriously. Krayt committed genocide and took over the galaxy among other evil things.

Haazen has manipulated the Draay family and betrayed their trust. He bought companies in secret and turned the agents into spies gathering artifacts for him. Both are evil. But Krayt's gone just a bit further. Until Haazen commits full blown genocide and actually rules the galaxy, he's not fit to shine Krayt's sabers. [face_not_talking]

Krayt has definitely got Haazen beat in terms of supervillian status but Haazen is so much more interesting IMO.

    Very very good issue!
I feel bad for blue, cade is such an ass!
Im not liking draco at all, his face is always so angry and full of hate. He should be a sith, not an IK. He's very stuck up and thinks hes better than everyone else, inlcuding his other IK's.

Cant wait to see what happens next!

And uh..why isnt this stickied yet?

Well, I feel better about not sticking through with the earlier parts of Vector now. (KOTOR just bored me to tears.) I know it's necessary when they're spanning so many different series, but I really have a low tolerance for excessive exposition of the I-already-read-it variety.

The real highlight here for me was the Imperial Knight bits, and what it revealed about their philosophy. More like that, please.

And I doubt this will go anywhere, but I find Azlyn way more interesting than Delilah as a match (even a temp one) for Cade. In any case, more of her, too.

The way Draco is acting - yeah, I think he's starting to go dark. And I think the same could be said about Roan.

As for Ganner, he's the first IK I can say I like. He's not on a high horse. And what he said about the IK's duty should the Emperor go dark... I've always thought that had the IK been around during ROTS, and Palpatine revealed his identity as Sidious, they would have followed him willingly. Ganner's the first indication that my belief might be wrong.

As for the blond hottie [face_hypnotized]=P~, Mama Fel, perhaps? [face_whistling];)

I doubt it, but considering Sia's only child status, I'm guessing Mama Fel hasn't been around in quite some time. Unless she took off with a shadow child and is in hiding.

(We only knew of two female Imp guards before this, right? Azlyn and the brunette with the braids?)

Well no, there's been four female IK's so far. Sia, Elke Vetter (Sia's IK teacher) , Azlyn and Sigel Dare. Elke is dead, and this lady with Roan is definately not Sigel Dare. I wonder who she is lol.

    You stole my question.

Anyway, very interesting spoilers. I'm disappointed with the direction Roan seems to be taking, but it's bit too early to say he's doing anything wrong -- for all we know, he may just want to keep it out of the hands of anyone else. I do love John's making the IK philosophy explicit, though. Hopefully it can put the ridiculous "IKs are evil because the Emperor might be evil!" nonsense to rest.

Well. After not expecting much from the Vector issues of Legacy, I was pleasantly surprised by issue 28. This issue however, does nothing for me. Roan wanting the talisman? I'm a bit worried about that. And, I'm one of the few people who likes Antares, and i do not want to see him go dark, which seems to be getting more and more likely.
Poor Blue. I am not impressed with Cade. Or Azlyn for that matter.
Finally, Celeste just doesn't seem to be doing much plotwise. It seems that as Vector goes along, she just keeps getting less and less interesting.
Hopefully the next couple issues will be better.

No, I pretty much got that he wants the Talsman and Draco (who seems not long for this GFFA) is going to try to get it. My bet is Draco dies as the last wearer of the talisman. He has to either go dark or die. Hopefully Cade shoots him into the black hole rather than Celeste.:p

Also, finally we have more of the IK code. Excellent. All in all a pretty ok issue. A little to much shipping for my taste. Temptation was certainly a theme. I thought it was interesting that Cade and Azlyn seemed to find time to mess around in a master bedroom while waiting for a Sith Lord. Guess you have to fill the time somehow.

[bestest Neo impression] Whoa, I know teh Imperial Knights![/bestest]

Solid issue, lots of questions on the IK's answered regarding their loyalties to the lightside of the force & their Emperor, questioned answered on what Celeste is doing to keep Muur in check & how it's not working & now the possibility of an end to the One Sith by rakghoul plague infection which I really don't like.

Biggest reveal in the whole issue? Hondo Karr may not be an ex-Mandalorian. :_|

Interesting issue. I loved the large role that Ganner and Antares had, and I loved the insights we got into Imperial Knight philosophy, as surprising as they were.

So now that the Devaronian Sith has gone to tell Krayt what he saw, Krayt will for sure show up? Seems like a... very flawed plan. I know that it wasn't Cade's original plan, but what would his original plan have been? ... Call Coruscant on a comlink and say "Hey Tusken, I'm here"? I do hope we learn more about this plan, because at the moment, I can't see why Krayt would come himself, rather than just sending Darth Stryfe and some other Sith.

Roan Fel's actions were... shocking, really. He seems to crave the Imperial Throne more than anything in the galaxy, even if it means using a Sith amulet to create millions of mindless Rakhgoul Stormtroopers? Wow. It's starting to seem like he's craving the throne out of a desire for personal power, rather than in an attempt to bring order to the galaxy. Does he really think that taking the throne back from Krayt is worth the risk of potentially unleashing a Rakhgoul plague upon the galaxy? Scary stuff, that... we got the impression in Ready To Die that he's willing to sacrifice the lives of Imperials loyal to Krayt, but to turn all of them into Rakhgouls?

Roan Fel is being presented as a kind of a foil to Cade, it seems. Roan craves power, even if it means using the Talisman, while Cade doesn't want power, and wants nothing to do with the Talisman. I also got the impression that Fel was doing more than just sparring with that Knight. [face_love][face_whistling]

Here was the biggest shocker of the entire issue ---

"As Imperial Knights, we obey the Emperor but only as long as the Emperor serves the light side of the Force. Should he ever turn to the dark side, our duty is to bring him back to the light or to remove him. It is to the force that we ultimately owe our allegiance, Draco."

    And that left Antares speechless.

It does put some perspective into the idea that they serve the Force as embodied by the Emperor, though --- they don't merely serve the Emperor, though Antares seems to have forgotten that.

It looks like all of my earlier speculation that the Imperial Knights would have no reservations about drawing on the dark side when necessary was based on the the actions of Antares, who is being revealed as more and more of a rogue among his Order. There's a real split happening between Antares and Ganner happening here, and I do hope that it doesn't tear them apart. When they're not two fools in love, they're the perfect complements for one another.

So the Imperial Knights serve the Light Side, but what differentiates them from the Jedi is the less narrow-minded way in which they do it. Cool. I can live with that. [face_peace]

Ganner loving Azlyn? And then Azlyn sleeping with Cade? Drama on Had Abbadon!! We also see that Antares is being blinded a bit by his love for Sia. He's willing to do anything that Roan Fel tells him to, no matter how dark... because it will curry favour with the Emperor, allowing him to marry Sia.

John & Jan, thank you for providing so much good Imperial Knight stuff in this arc! [face_dancing][face_dancing] You promised they would be much more than just background dressing, and boy, did you deliver.

So Shado Vao is in a very dangerous place... but how? What will happen to him? Something to disturb his calm, serene Jedi-ishness... with everything surrounding him, Morne, Azlyn, Ganner, and Antares, I find it pretty funny (and cool) that Cade, out of every Force-user on the mission, is the most in control of his emotions.

Seriously, his line about Karness Muur --- "Oh, I feel him. But he just makes me laugh."

Cade is awesome right now. He's very much in control, and I'm actually scratching my head wondering how the Muur Talisman will eventually seduce him. Because honestly, at the moment he seems the least likely to be seduced by it.

A pretty good issue --- I found it kind of weird how easy it was for them to take over
