There's always at least one other girl in the comic shop when I'm there (but she works there)

Just read #19, and HOLY HELL!!!!

I think it's possibly one of my favorite issues.

I'm going to have to reread my older comics if what I hear is true.... How is it possible that Morrigan is also that other really bad woman, Calitxe (sp?)? Adds a whole other spin on things...

I think this goes beyond 'loop.' It's more like a helix of centrifugal force. [face_hypnotized]

(And here we were all worried about Cade and the Sith. Ain't nobody talking about THAT. [face_laugh] )

"Holy Hell" is right! Soooooooo many questions and possibilites now.

Back when Morrigan said she'd "been doing this for a long time," I always wondered what "this" meant. At the time, I thought she meant being an assassin, but now I'm wondering if she meant being a double agent? Or more than double? Serving her own agenda?

And who is who? Is Morrigan an alter-ego or is Morrigan the Superman and Nyna the Clark Kent?

Is Gunner really Cade's half-sister? Will he/we seriously never see Morrigan again? (A thought that makes me kinda sad.) And what do we call her, now?

    *rubs brain*

First order of business for me will be to sit down with the whole series and re-read before I try to decide if Morrigan just turned into something unpleasant or if Nyna suddenly got a whole lot cooler. [face_thinking]

Although, I did flip back to the scene in #9 when Nyna introduced Veed to Morrigan as a 'good field operative in her day' and that she 'thinks she knows how to contact her.'

Upon hindsight, it's absolutely brilliant!! =D=

My God! Legacy #19 was totally AWESOME!! I too was shocked and surprised at what I saw. Was my eyes deceiving me, or was Morrigan Corde actually Nyna Calixte?! Man, Legacy is getting better and better! I love shocking twists! And the scene where Cade is giving Syn a hug was so cute! [face_love]Great Job, Jan and John! =D=

EXACTLY. Was talking to a friend last night who hadn't been able to get to the comic store yet, and his first question was "So, Cade - Good or Evil?"

And for the first time ever, I was like, "Oh... was Cade even in this issue?"

I know! The ?Face Off? hype was just to throw us off. They?re goooooood.

It?s been a little eclipsed by the Oh My Damn factor, but Cade had a much-awaited character defining moment in this issue when he said: ?If I die here then I die as who I am ? controlled by nobody.? Atta boy!!! =D=

The blurb for the trade says: "Learn whether the Skywalker line lives up to the triumph of Luke or returns to the tragedy of Anakin," and I, for one, am totally excited that it was neither.

Makes you wonder what he?s going to do now. In 23, he goes after Rav ? maybe because Rav sold his friends to?

Oh wait. I was going to say the Sith, but it was Calixte. Well, then. Things could get very interesting if Cade continues to follow that trail?

Well, now that I've had a couple days to absorb the OMG! and flip through the issue again, I can remember everything else about it that I liked. (Let's be honest, practically all of it)

I think my favorite Cade moment was this:

    "Kill him!"
    "No."
    "Why?!"
    "Because you want me to!"

It was just perfect. The words are those of an immature child ("You can't make me, you're not my mom!"), but it was exactly the right thing. At this point in his life, Cade isn't good or not good because of any deep-seated philosophical beliefs. He's just sick of other people telling him what to do.

I did also love Jariah in this issue. Especially his banter with Morrigan on Page 1. Although, knowing what we know about her now... that relationship is possibly a little creepy.

I really will be sad if the Morrigan personality has gone away forever. I like her for a thousand different reasons.

Also, Veed: "Well, you did say I'd recognize the signal. Very subtle." Hee.

And, the full-panel of Cade looking all Batman... very nice.

Actually, I enjoyed the artwork all throughout this issue. Well done, Jan.

I wouldn't describe it as "right." I'd label it "appropriate." Darth Krayt was right in calling Cade a self-pitying whiner. Other than the choice of adjective, I agree that Cade's reaction was completely in character. :)

I'll agree with you there. I sort of meant "right" as in "right for Cade's character", not necessarily "right" as in "correct" or "not wrong"

I hate these black bars. I swear, I?m gonna edit them all out next week. :p

Your eyes did not deceive you. [face_hypnotized] I liked the Cade/Syn hug, too. Made me smile. ?course, the scene I want to see is the Cade/Blue reunion, especially since Cade appears to be oblivious about why she?s mad at him. (Can't blame him, though. He didn't know he was on hidden camera, and I imagine he'll be squicked to find out that everyone on the ship saw his extracurricular activities, LOL.)

I know. After I picked my jaw up off the floor, I gotta admit that my first reaction was a feeling of loss.

Thinking about it now, after a couple of days to ?absorb,? as you said, I?m optimistic. Provided these characters are sticking around, she's not totally gone. Maybe we'll even get to see Nyna open a can of whoop-ass in the future. And, I don?t know about everyone else, but the next time I see Nyna in her severe make-up and straight-laced uniform, I?ll be thinking about a jetpack, ?fast ride and big blaster.?

Ever since I saw that make-up scene, all I can think of Nyna Calixte is that she's Star Wars' version of Morticia Addams. :D

It'll be interesting to see what happens when (if) others find out the truth about Morrigan/Nyna.

If Jariah ever learns that Morrigan is the same person who tortured him and (probably more importantly) Deliah, I think he'll kill her. Straight up, no hesitation. Or at least, he'll try to. I don't think she'll let him.

I am curious how long this dual personality has been going on. I wonder if Kol knew about it (And if he didn't... damn! She's damn good at hiding herself if someone as strong in the Force as a Skywalker couldn't figure it out)

You're right, Trace. Maybe they should put that on Cheaters show. [face_laugh] Just kidding. Anyway, my mind's set on Cade and Gunn, really. What if they see each other, and find out that they're both half-brother and half-sister? That'd be totally sweet!

And I also agree with you, karebear214. I'd like to see what Morrigan/Nyna is really up to... [face_worried]

I'm also wondering if Gunner is at all Force-sensitive. I wouldn't think so, but she is technically related to Cade now, so who knows?

Yeaaaah? Have we seen Syn well and truly pissed-off, yet? That would be very interesting. ;)

It?s certainly a possibility, especially given the the line: ?Next time. This is not over,? at the end of 19.

I?m not sure what to think about the Nyna/Gunner relationship. Going back to their conversation in 15, Gunner says: ?We were never a family, ?Mother?,? with the word mother in quotation marks. I?m wondering if that implies that Nyna is her mother in name only ? kinda like when Cade called Talon ?master? and there were quotation marks around the word master.

Compared to how passionate she is about Cade, she seems to care nothing at all about Gunner. Then again, Gunner hasn't been captured by Sith, either, I s'pose.

Or, if Gunner really is Nyna?s biological daughter, the timeline factor throws another wrench in the works. Based on appearances only, Cade and Gunner seem to be close to the same age. So, were Nyna and Rulf married and had Gunner before she became Morrigan and married Kol? Or did she invent the Nyna persona and hook up with Rulf shortly after leaving Kol?

And she?s with Veed now. She sure does, uh, get around.

On a lighter note, reading back through previous issues, one thing that stands out is that Nyna spends a lot of time convincing Imps and Sith not to kill Cade.

    Issue 9:

    Maladi: Find this Cade guy.

Nyna: "Why? He?s just a bounty hunter ? even if he?s had Jedi training." (Reminds me of Vader: ?He?s just a boy. Obi-wan can no longer help him.?)

    Maladi: He?s a Skywalker.

    Nyna: *shavit!*

Veed: We gotta get him first.

    Nyna: Yeah.

*this is gonna require cleavage* [face_mischief]

Lol. Discussing the comic with my brother, that was his exact comment. "Wow. She gets around."

And I completely agree with you about these black bars. They have got to go!

In the spirit of the delightful or dreaded Valentine's Day, we're borrowing an idea from the KOTOR thread. [face_batting]

[face_love] Discussion: Romance in Legacy [face_love]

There aren't a lot of them, but who are your favorite couples? Who would you like to see together? Who do you not want to see together?

And, because we're out of the spoiler period for 19, did anyone have to scrap a Cade/Gunn fic? [face_laugh]

From me to all of you:

    Cade/Deliah! [face_love]

However, since Cade's an arrogant bantha's butt and Blue has a fabulous temper, I don't see this smoothing out too soon. :_|

I would like to see Draco/Marasiah. Father's wishes be kriffed.

I don't like Cade/Marasiah. Pigeon-holed as consort to the (future) Empress just would not go over well with him, considering just how hard he's fighting against being labeled either Sith or Jedi.

I really like Draco/Marasiah, too. I'd like to see them together. [face_love]

Cade/Deliah, now, they're interesting. I really like them as a couple, but I honestly haven't decided if I like them in that OTP sort of way, or as a temporary couple. And I don't think that if they go their separate ways in the future, it would diminish what they had, and what it meant at the time. But I just can't decide which way I think they should go. This fascinates me, because with every other SW pairing, I've had a definite opinion on the OTP-or-not issue. [face_thinking]

I also rather like Veed/Calixte, issue #19's spoiler bomb o' awesomeness (to steal a friend's phrase) notwithstanding. While they might have some genuine feeling for each other, that relationship seems so pragmatic and "what can I get out of this" that it's really interesting to watch. :D

How about Darth Talon/Shado Vao? They seemed to be getting along pretty when in issues #6-#7. :p

It'd be interesting to see what color their kids might turn out to be. Blue-tinged red? Red-tinged blue? Purple? [face_thinking]

Then again, probably they wouldn't have any, considering where Cade stuck his lightsaber through Talon in issue #18. :D

Cade/Deliah! The GFFA needs at least one pink, empathic, pheromone-secreting, Force-wielding, blaster-toting, fringe element Skywalker. [face_cowboy][face_mischief]:p

But yeah, I?ve been rooting for my girl Blue to get her guy from day one. I doubt it will actually happen since Skywalker menz marry white, human wimmens, but I think they suit each other.

    I do [face_love] Antares/Marasiah.

I was/am/wanted-to-be a Kol/Morrigan fan. Or maybe it was just the idea of them? I dunno. Based on that holo she carries around, they did seem to care for each other?once...maybe. But the whole Corde/Calixte, Calixte/Yage, Calixte/Veed thing has left me feeling a bit disillusioned.

Their kids could spend the school year at the Sith temple with Mom and summers at the Jedi temple with Dad. They?d either be extremely well-balanced Force users or totally kriffed up. [face_laugh]

Trace probably already knows this, but I actually like Syn/Blue over Cade/Blue. Because although she really wants Cade, I think he's too self-centered to treat her right in a relationship. Whereas, if she let him, I think Syn would give her everything she wants.

I really must find the time to write another fic for those two.

As for Kol/Morrigan, I still think there was (is?) something real there (maybe I'm just a hopeless romantic). Looking at everything she does for Cade, I don't want to think she cares not at all about his father. Which brings up another interesting point - How did Morrigan/Calixte feel about Kol's death? Sad? Relieved? I'm not sure. What do y'all think?
