TV Discussion LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy - september 13 (Disney Plus)

I assume Leia still has the same age as Luke (who looks older than TROJ but younger than TFA).

About the "reason", I guess we could just assume their ages were altered when the Galaxy changed.

This was very enjoyable. My daughter couldn't stop laughing at several parts. So many small jokes packed into it in between the big ones.

 

Yeah. Given that there is a High Republic character in there, I am going to guess that the timeline got as jumbled around as the physical aspects of the galaxy did.

 

Which high republic character? Must’ve missed it.

This was a kind of dark, with Sigs galaxy not being restored. A whole galaxy wiped out.

I’m certain their is going to be a sequel to this, and we see more of this twisted LEGO Star Wars. I wonder if we will ever see more classic Star Wars. If no reverting the galaxy sticks, it could just be prequel material, set before the big change.

Speaking of prequels, I would like to see more of Jedi Bobs galaxy. Beyond them having yellow faces, what differences did it have compared to classic Star Wars? I wonder if the whole Jedi Bob sucks at using a lightsaber in combat is actually because of where he is from. Maybe in his galaxy, the Jedi were at an all time peaceful era. Lightsabers becoming more like ceremonial swords, then being used as weapons.

 

only watched one so far but - this is just JJAbrams stuff again - switch the characters round and then parody classic SW tropes.

 

Lego Star Wars stuff has always been a parody of sorts

 

Watched the first episode, the universe switching and the Crait guy tasting "Salt" (universe blips) "Pepper" Then sneezes. Love dopey jokes like that. And apparently the nerf-herding planet is Legends-sourced.

 

True. Though it makes sense that it has an Abrams vibe, as Abrams’ interpretation of Star Wars is (inadvertently) parody-like.

 

Another amazing line in here with Darth Jar-Jar. "Mesa the Phantom Menace! Mesa always been the Phantom Menace!"

 

Han saying Greedo got Leia because Greedo shot his shot first is so funny every time.

 

Darth Nubs was a surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.

I'll be honest, I was also surprised when...

...Darth Jar Jar was defeated by the skeleton of a huge fish, and nobody said, "There's always a bigger fish." Must be one of the few times a LEGO production has avoided making the most obvious joke. But hey, maybe it works better as a sight gag.

Anyway, very much looking forward to a follow-up. They've exhausted all the major Western holidays now, so perhaps this'll be an annual series!

 

I can't stand BrickHeadz... which weirdly makes me real excited about their inclusion in this, 'cause I bet it's gonna be hilarious!
