In the tradition of Atris from KOTOR, Jocasta Nu was a Jedi librarian with weird habits and weird students, one of them Jerec, the later Dark Jedi.

Dooku deleted stuff from the Jedi starcharts, and Jocasta didn´t know. But it was her job to know! Then again, Dooku studied Sith holocrons and she had to know because she as librarian had them stored away in a safe place. She had to be an experienced Master and she was a former Council member, and she had access and experience with holocrons, and those of the sith as well.

Can it all be a coincidence? Did she really know nothing?

Maybe there was a larger conspiracy. Knowing the Sith returned (TPM), Jocasta Nu and Jerec along Dooku and Sifo Dyas plotted a secret mission not even the Council knew about.

All of them had they studied Sith holocrons and lore and believed themselves to be above falling and failing, arrogant Jedi. A secret Jedi community or new Jedi Convenant? They wanted the downfall of the Sith and so their plan was:

    1) Sifo Dyas shall create a clone army in case one is needed for the coming war. Never trust the Sith, never trust the Republic to get an army in time either.
    2) Dooku will hunt down the Sith and infiltrate them, leaving the Jedi order using QuiGon's death as reason and building up political support with the Separatist movement, to lure the Sith out of their shadows creating unrest in the Republic so that it looks weak.
3)Jerec was checking out ancient Sith locations for any sign of Sith journeying to far off places, while Jocasta Nu stayed at the temple and oversaw everything listening in on Council sessions and Jedi reports.

but.. something went wrong of course.

Dooku joined the Dark Side and got lost in it. Sifo Dyas was betrayed and killed. Jerec out of reach. And the Sith returned with a massive war brewing, and Dooku leading this Phantom Menace as new figurehead.

Jocasta Nu knew she had to act before more could go wrong. While hiding the fact of what she and her plans had done, she pointed Obi Wan in the right direction to find the Clone Army before Dooku could use it. In secret she supplied Obi Wan's friend Dexter Jettster with the information about the Kaminoan Kyberdart and Kamino's location, infuencing him with the Mind trick so that he didn´t remember her afterwards.

The rest is history... or was Jocasta Nu after all allied in secret with her former love, Darth Sidious? Was she a new incarnation of Darth Traya leading several Jedi to their downfall and betrayal, while staying in secrecy and shadowy light. Well, Darth Vader killed her, but this freaky librarian had some secrets.

When Jerec returned to the galaxy... he too, fell to the Darkness, like everybody Jocasta Nu had had a deeper contact with. Coincidence?

Edit: Maybe part of this new Jedi Convenant were Quinlan Vos, Aayla Secura and others like Sora Bulq.

Quinlan was undercover often and in shadows with Aayla, often in contact with sith or darksiders. Sora Bulq and his followers were Jedi separatists. Much to discover, there is.

and then there is the simple truth, "Nu" sounds like "knew" so... "Jocasta Knew!"

Dudes, this theory has merit. I always thought Jocasta was a witch. She's probably the great-granddaughter of Atris. Heck, she was on the Jedi Council too! And probably at the same time as Sifo-Dyas!

And didn't they say it was rumored in the Empire that Cronal/Blackhole had worked with the Jedi Archives during the Old Republic? And didn't he take over Jerec's training after Jocasta bit the dust?

And just look at her name! Jocasta, like the lady who married her son. So who was her son? Jerec? Sifo? Cronal? I'm betting Dooku. She was giving his statue an awefully strange stare in AOTC.

Actually, I think her doing on the orders of Sifo-Dyas (a Jedi Councilman) is hardly a problem. No need to make it an evil conspiracy.

Oooohh... how could I forget o_O

she infiltrated Sith, too to learn from Sidious and kill him then, failed and fled as we know. undercover mission as backup when it was sure Dooku had failed and killed Sifo, maybe Tholme, Jocasta or Sifo knew about it. This proofs Vergere was not dark hehe, thx Astral, I love you^^

Though, when Vergere disappeared after the failed assassination, Jocasta Nu helped Jorus Caboth (another tainted Jedi she had contact with!) to establish Outbound Flight as a last resort with mission goals:

    1) look for Vergere
    2) look for Sith
    3) establish Jedi colonies in case the main jedi strongholds in the known galaxy fail as backups

the same goal Sora Bulq and his separatist Jedi had after Outbound Flights failure, splitting from the order.

looked it up, Jocasta is from Oedipus. Hehe nice fuel to the fire.

So Jerec as son/apprentice might make sense. The Oedipus touch to star wars is always present (see Luke/Leia :p )

So Mama Jocasta and Papa Cronal had son Jerec? a lovers night between scrolls and sith holocrons. And with Cronal we have the perfect connection between Sidious and Jocasta, he knew and befriended both!!! And if Cronal fathered Jerec, does this make the prophetess Jerecs sister? was her mother, Jocasta, too?

but back to Jerec... since we do not know yet where Cronal is, could Jerec have killed him? true to Oedipus of course, it was an accident.

So Jocasta Nu + Cronal = Miraluka offspring?

That's almost as weird as Jocasta knowing she married Oedipus

The Prophetess? You mean Sariss, right? So she was Blackhole's only confirmed daughter....

Oh wait! Okay, Sariss was raised with all the Prophets, right? And she couldn't figure out who her father really was out of the bunch. That sounds like.... like... a harem of Prophets!!!!

    Jocasta was a busy woman!

And at the same time, how do we know Blackhole wasn't Miraluka? Sure sure, the NEGC said he was human. But that was also the book that said Jerec was human. And the most we've ever seen of Blackhole's physical form was on the cover of Gamer #5, where he looked like a swirly black jawa of doom. With um... Thrawn's eyes. Which could easily be explained if he had white eyes that were just reflecting the red environment around him.

    Or else...

Didn't Thrawn drive Jerec around on the Vengeance? And wasn't Jerec driving around in the first place because Cronal told him to, but no one was really certain where Cronal was? [face_thinking]

I'm not totally against a male harem down in the jedi library. ;)

Anyway if Blackhole was miraluka, and Jocasta human that would make Jerec half-human, and maybe that's the reason why he was first identified as just a blind human before it was known that he was miraluka. It might have been easier within the empire to act as a human instead of an alien, even if miraluka are very near-human.

Yeah, I did kind of talk myself into a circle with that one. So unless Thrawn was again masquerading on a cover as someone else, I'm afraid I can't get a conspiracy out of this.

The credit goes to you -- I'm only theorizing off your theories.

Bingo-- also, he doesn't dress/act as conservative as the rest of the Miraluka population. Flaunting his human side, no doubt.
