Saga Lightsaber Duels We Wish We Would Have Seen in the Movies

Next matchup is the Hunger Games with all these bounty hunters (Vader not included).



They each start on their own end of the map with a cache of weapons in the middle (Hunger Games style). Who wins?

Let's see:
Yoda and Sidious cancel out
As do Mace and Sidious
As do Luke and Vader
As do Obi-Wan and Maul
As do Rey and Kylo
Leaving Ki Adi over Grievous

I think the light side wins, due to numbers, after Ki AdI dispatches Grievous, then helps Rey defeat Kylo, they help Yoda take down Sidious, then overwhelm Vader, Dooku, and Maul.

Now, a hypothetical:
During the Clone Wars, the Mortis trio breaks free and decides to take over the galaxy. Reluctantly, the Jedi and Sith must work together.
So:
Yoda, Sidious, Dooku, Mace, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Ki Adi, Plo Koon, Kit Fisto, Asajj Ventress, Luminara, and Aayla
Vs
Father, Son, and Daughter

 

Yoda realizes right away that that Sidious is the biggest threat and needs to engage him immediately. Yoda and Sidious lock sabers. Mace rushes in to help Yoda then sees the other dark siders approaching and realizes the other jedi will need his help. Obi-Wan sees his master's killer (Darth Maul) and immediately engages him, this time he is more ready for Maul with years of additional experience. Luke does not want to fight his father or his nephew so locks sabers with Count Dooku. Mace locks sabers with Vader. Rey seeks Han Solo's killer Kylo Ren and immediately realizes he's tougher than she thought with no injury. Ki-Adi-Mundi rushes over to help Rey. So now we have several duels going on simultaneously:

Yoda vs Sidious
Mace vs Vader
Luke vs Dooku
Rey and Ki-Adi-Mundi vs Kylo Ren
Obi-Wan vs Maul

Kylo force throws Rey, tries the same with Ki-Adi-Mundi but Ki-Adi-Mundi raises his hand and blocks Kylo Ren's force attack. The two lock sabers, as they are fighting Rey slowly gets up. Kylo Ren is back peddling against the experienced master and knows he's in trouble. He knows that if Rey joins the fight he's finished, but just as Rey gets up she looks back and sees a new foe entering the room. General Grievous. This might tip the scales too far that the jedi can't handle. Rey tries to engage Grievous but is bewildered by his 4 light sabers. She retreats, sees Maul pressing the attack against Obi-Wan and stabs Maul in the back. Maul falls. Grievous joins the fight with Kylo Ren against Ki-Adi-Mundi. Mundi is overwhelmed and falls. Obi-Wan and Rey rush in to fight Ren and Grievous. Obi-Wan tries to simulateously fight Grievous while blocking force attacks by Kylo Ren against Rey. This is a very tough job for him and it's taking everything he has.

Meanwhile Luke is falling back against Dooku, Dooku's experience and smooth saber style are proving to be too much for Luke. Luke is in survival mode, he needs help but the other jedi are in desperate struggles of their own.

The fights between Yoda and Sidious and Mace and Vader get crossed up. Now Yoda is fighting Vader and Mace is fighting Sidious. Yoda is starting to get the upper hand and Sidious is as well.

Obi-Wan amazingly slices off 2 of Grievous' limbs while deflecting force attacks from Kylo Ren against Rey. This allows Rey to cross sabers with Kylo Ren without getting force thrown or knocked unconscious. Grievous starts to run away but as he passes the Yoda vs Vader fight Yoda powerfully force pushes Grievous into a wall destroying him. Obi-Wan and Rey then go on the attack against Kylo Ren who is overwhelmed by Obi-Wan's skill and experience and joins Count Dooku (Obi-Wan's kryptonite). Obi-Wan and Rey join the attack on Dooku but Dooku swiftly tosses Obi-Wan and Rey out of the way with the force. Luke is now in serious trouble against Dooku and Kylo Ren. Yoda disengages from Vader to help Luke who's in serious trouble. Yoda force throws boulders onto Kylo Ren. Seizing the opportunity, Vader joins up with Sidious and the two overwhelm Mace and strike him down. Yoda runs back to help Mace but it's too late. Sidious sees Yoda re-joining the fight and tosses force lightning his direction which Yoda deflects towards Vader. Vader is fried by Sidious's deflected force lightning and falls.

As Kylo Ren is struggling to climb out from under the boulders, Rey is about to deliver the killing blow on him but he force freezer her. Obi-Wan joins in, disengages Kylo Ren's force freeze, and Rey strikes Kylo down.

The Luke vs Dooku fight has now crossed up with the Yoda vs Sidious fight. Dooku engages Yoda and SIdious blasts a torrent of lightning on Luke. Luke is helpless to stop it. While Sidious has one hand pouring lightning onto Luke, he uses his saber in his other hand to strike down Yoda while Yoda was engaged with Dooku! But just as he does this Obi-Wan strikes down Dooku from behind.

Sidious still has Luke in pain, twitching and turning from the force lightning. Obi-Wan and Rey rush over to help. The final battle is 3 on 1 with Luke, Obi-Wan, and Rey against SIdious. Obi-Wan rushes towards Sidious, Sidious has to break off his attack on Luke and shoot a torrent of lightning towards Obi-Wan. The lightning is too powerful for Obi-Wan to deflect. Meanwhile Rey jumps from the 2nd level to deliver a killing blow against Sidious but he sees it coming and hits Rey with a nasty bolt of lightning. Sidious is then able to chain lightning all 3 of them. Luke, Obi-Wan, and Rey are all writhing in pain from the lightning. It's just then that a severely wounded Yoda, laying on the ground, with his last gasp of life, force pulls a large heavy boulder from the roof falling on top of Sidious. Yoda then disappears and become one with the force. Obi-Wan climbs off the ground, dusts himself off, looks over and Luke and Rey and says "The force will be with you...always".

that was pretty great! To be honest I was expecting something like " Rey becomes super OP master and wipes out Sidious or Kylo gets "1-shot by a master whos not a noob" or something similar.

But I'd give that Scenario / Story a Solid 8/10!

I don't know anything about Father, Brother Daughter. So I have no idea who would win that fight.

 

That's because the story was written by me, not Disney

The Disney version has all the jedi besides Rey getting wiped out, then Rey closes her eyes, whispers "force" and obliterates Sidious, Vader, Dooku, Maul, Grievous, and Kylo at the same time.

 

There it is! Silly old me thinking you wern't going to bach Disney / Rey /Ren!...... I should have kept my mouth Shut!

Kylo and Maul would win but not due to skill! Anakin as Vader always heald back against Luke his son. I don't think he'd be able to bring himself to kill his Grandson either. So Kylo and Maul could take advantage of the hesitation or reluctance to harm his family.

No question Rey wins. She does things that Luke doesn't learn until ROTJ.

Foul! Out of bounds! Since this is a SW forum we should keep it within the SW universe IMO.

So I won't answer that one. But I will propose another... I'll borrow Grievous...

And Yaddle is a jedi master.

She's not a jedi, but she might still be strong in the force.

Even without Sith powers, Jar Jar is like the teflon gungan. He gets involved in situations way above his head, but always comes out the other side unscathed. Plus, let's not forget that jump and flip, he's pretty athletic. I think he'd win.

Had to read up on Cad Bane since I don't watch the cartoons. That said Cad Bane only became the lead bounty hunter after Jango Fett was killed. This kind of implies that Jango Fett is superior so I'll go with Jango Fett.

Tough call. We see Poe do more impressive things on screen but Luke's abilities are well implied as well plus his natural force ability and the fact that his dad was the best pilot in the SW universe.

I guess it depends on which Luke. I think Luke with more force ability (like ROTJ) would probably be too much for Poe.

I'll say that Poe beats ANH Luke but not ROTJ Luke.

OK back to lightsabers...

What if Mace never confronted Sidious and waited until Yoda came back? What if Vader had already turned?

I think Yoda and Mace would win, because at that point, Vader wasn't fully attuned to using the dark side. He should have been able to dispatch Obi-Wan pretty quickly. And I think Anakin was actually stronger than Vader at that point.
...or was he?

I still think Vader pre-suit is more powerful. His dark side abilities gave him a power boost and he tapped into the dark side to defeat Dooku. He also slaughtered several jedi in the jedi temple with his new found power. Obi-Wan was also on the defensive for most of their fight and was in survival mode. Arguably Obi-Wan was a top 3 duelist in the jedi order after Yoda and Mace (not counting Anakin).

Had Vader (pre-suit) survived Mustafar unscathed and had training from Sidious, he would have been utterly unstoppable.

I think the Rancor would catch the Nexu and Gobble it up, that leaves the Acklay and the Reek. I don't think the Rancor could stay standing from the The Reek's charges, once it's down the Acklay can go to town stabbing and slashing.
