My saber's a modified Hasbro Vader saber. It's got three triangular quillions set around the guard, and the blade is now a red-purple.

Since it looks like we have some night activities coming up, it would probably be good to find out who needs to borrow an El Saber for the event. Since I need one , there are 5 still available...
    I have the following:

    Obi-wan Kenobi Episode 1

    Qui-gon Jin Episode 1

    Luke Skywalker ANH/ESB

    Darth Vader ESB/ROTJ

    Luke Skywalker ROTJ

Custom Hilt with choice of red or blue blade.

Let me know so I can bring it with me. This is to borrow the saber, These sabers are from my personal collection and are NOT FOR SALE!!!

I'll take you up on your offer Gil! I think the Luke would go best with my new Jedi costume.

I suppose I should clarify the term "Dueling". What is really meant by that term is "Theatrical Sparring" or presentation dueling, where two people will perform a preset "routine" if you will, to give the illusion of Lightsaber combat. We are not out to win or lose, just put on a show... We really don't want anyone to get hurt, or anything to get broken.
"Dueling" in the movies is painstakingly pre-arranged and through editing and camera angles gives the illusion of "going at it". I guess if this is going to be an option at appearances there should be more practice and planning to make sure it is done safely, I certainly don't want to see anyone get hurt! Members, or spectators...

I agree Gil! You, Lisa, and Chris did a great job sparring at the Extreme Wheels party! The stuff you guys learned over the summer looked pretty good on stage, but i do agree that we shuld get a bit more practice before the next event where we will be performing!

Makes you wonder when he added the D-ring.

Or why he added the D-ring, and does not use the "charging port" to hang the saber from his belt... It is after the Clone Wars that he uses the D-ring. The visual dictionay calls the "Covertec" knob a charging port, and the large pouch on the Jedi belt is a battery. Since the Jedi were all but exterminated, maybe he has to charge the saber by other means since their resources are not what they once were... They also may never explain it, most people who watch movies are not even going to notice this detail.

The Visual Dictionaries are only good for one thing. Purty pictures.

    Charging port my ****** *****!! :p

Seriously don't hold any stock in the descriptions, they are about as canon as me pointing to the floor and calling it "Planetary surface horizontal shielding". Its merely a belt clip, the same way the D ring was a belt clip.

My theory is the D ring was added because his covertec broke and lgtsbr had the entire supply of them and wouldn't sell him one.

That's an interesting theory, I'm sure it does not have any basis in fact though... :p

[face_laugh] [face_laugh] FOFLMAO [face_laugh] [face_laugh] Cannons? We don' need no stinking cannons!!!

Hey, I was just trying to come up with an explanation, I have no idea! The VD may be wrong? *Gasp* Fanboys everywhere are crying tonight...

Honestly Gil, The VD just puts stuff to fill up space.

Example, if you have the AOTC VD look up the Jango blaster and see what the called the hex bolt on the grip...

    :)
