I have not started the Fate of the Jedi series yet (still working through the X Wing series) and have a question about when to read the Lost Tribe novellas and Crosscurrent - which all seem related to the Fate of the Jedi series.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks, Steve

You can read them independently of each other.

    All of them.

While connected, Lost Tribe is it's own story. So is Crosscurrent. So is FOTJ.

I think you should read the first e-book before reading Crosscurrent. Then the rest of the e-books, followed by FOTJ.

    I'd go: Crosscurrent, FOTJ1, LOTS1, and continue interleaving FOTJ/LOTS.

No reason Crosscurrent can't come later, but also no reason it shouldn't come first, and that also places it nicely chronologically relative to FOTJ. :)

Like everyone has said, you can pretty much read them in whichever order you wish to.

The benefit perhaps of Lost Tribe before Crosscurrent is it explains a bit more about where some of the new elements of the Sith Empire not before seen come from. But at the same time, Crosscurrent explains some of the elements that are left open in Lost Tribe, so they're both complimentary.

Despite the Lost Tribe appearing in both Lost Tribe and FOTJ, I think they're equally flexible for the same reason; one explains some parts, the other explains other parts, so if you want the whole picture it's worth reading both, but which order doesn't make a huge deal of difference. It perhaps makes the Lost Tribe's appearance in FOTJ feel like less of a contrived deus ex machina if you've read the e-book first, but as you already know about the e-book you're aware of the basic gist already anyway, so it won't be a "WTK?!" moment for you in FOTJ.

So... yeah, just read them in whatever order suits your preference, really.

I'd read Lost Tribe # 1; Precipice first. Then Crosscurrent, and then the other Lost Tribe entries. The events of the first two intersect, but the latter Lost Tribe e-books are set after their intersecting moments. I wish I'd reread Precipice before reading Crosscurrent, personally.

I actually threw ToTJ in there too.

ToTJ (up to the appearance of the Omen)
    LTotS #1
    Crosscurrent
ToTJ (the rest of the first two trades, which isn't much after the Omen's appearance)
    LTotS #2 and 3
    FoTJ
