Luke in Han's pants.

I never noticed before, but at end of ANH, during the ceremony, Luke is quite obviously wearing Han's pants with the stripe down the side. In fact, the whole outfit looks like it belongs to Han. How wierd. It's not like they are the same size or anything. Wasn't there someone else Luke could have borrowed clothes from? Now that I've noticed it, it's going to look strange everytime I see it.

Ah, its just rebel stores providing Luke with a pair of spacers trousers with the 'Corellain bloodstripe'

Its like a Levis or JC Penny marking.

 

I never thought they were Han's pants, but they always did seem out of character to me.

 

I know Luke's ceremony costume was originally going to be his costume for the rest of the film. I've seen publicity stills of Luke posing in the costume and holding his lightsaber.

Perhaps it was just an extra pair they pulled out of a supply closet for Luke to throw on so he'd have something nice and clean to wear.

 

Where did Luke get the snazzy yellow jacket, then?

The jacket was obviously borrowed. Han had his own outfit that he could spruce up a little (including a better shirt, which looks like the one he wears in ESB and ROTJ), but Luke was still in his moisture farmers outfit the entire time. They likely sent someone scrambling around the base to find a presentable outfit for him to wear at the ceremony.

Well, Luke had to borrow some some clothes. I guess Han keeps his in the Falcon.

Yeah, they look like his pants from the next two movies. And Lando wears Han's clothes at the end of TESB. Was this sopposed to be some kind of reocuring theme?
