Agreed. With all this actually. And Jake Lloyd actually played Anakin better than HC, in my opinion

 

The fact that Disney went with a very young actor makes me think Luke and Leia will not be "main characters" in this, at least not like Anakin was in TPM. That's fine with me, there is plenty of story to be told with all the other characters.

 

Luke probaly not but Leia i think will be a main character.

 

I don't want to get into a debate, but with the stink that surrounded TLJ, with the racial abuse and death threats to RJ, yeah, I don't think we've passed it yet.

 

Basically, we're not yet past the humanity being ****** thing.

 

The young actor himself.

 

Hopefully they are not letting him handle his Twitter account, no kid should be exposed to that psychological battle field

 

Hopefully his parents do it for him.

 

He could also play young Luuke.

 

Judging by the way it is written, I'd say it is already an adult handling it.

I feel bad for Luke that Grogu left him, but in the long term it’s for the best. Grogu likely doesn’t get massacred in the Temple along with the rest, and he’s not going through the Jedi teachings half hearted.

 

I think Grogu will eventually die before TFA.

Not a chance. You don't introduce a character with such a long life span and who ends up being so popular to knock him off while basically a child. Not a chance.

 

I guess it is possible…hopefully not a Jedi. For most people the Last Jedi was Rey as established in the last trilogy. It would be another anomaly to make Grogu coexist during that timeline, not a fan of that. I have the same feeling about Ashoka btw, how could she be around during the OT. Makes too much noise to me.

Agreed. I see him being a Mandalorian who uses the Force in battle.

 

I thought the visual for Luke worked pretty damn well (obviously improvements since S2 of Mando and the stuff they did in Rogue One). The Respeecher didn't sound natural IMO - but it DID sound like Mark Hamill and that's also only going to get better and better.

The technology is neat, but I do wonder if top actors are going to start putting stuff in their contracts about this (maybe they already do - I dunno if something like "likeness" would cover this). I'd be curious if Hamill had to be paid at all for TBOBF

 

Ahsoka left the Jedi order, for a time she was associated with the Spectres Rebel Cell but then left on a spiritual quest of her own. I think that covers what she was doing during the events of the OT, we don't know how long exactly she was in the WBW or if time passes there the same... as they say, that's a story for another time.

As for Grogu, I think Ahsoka is the perfect mentor for him, allowing her to complete her own journey.

 

The great thing about Grogu ageing slowly is there's less urgency to his training compared to say, Anakin. If Ahsoka's story from now was like Kanan 2.0, i.e. being a reluctant mentor, I think that could work.

The existence of Shadow of the Sith makes me think that Luke's role in TV will be very limited from her on out.

 

Shadow of the sith are like 15 years later, I dont think it will affect his role in the Mandalorian. We Will see him in the Ahsoka show again.

 

Just when you thought Disney could possibly run out of ideas to make shows about with the franchise.
