Michele Jackson is "Dangerous" besides Luke Skywalker was too old for his twisted ways.

MJ is "Twisted and Evil" and according to law, Luke Skywalker would be too old to begin the "training." Because we all know the once you go to the "Dark side" forever will it consume you. Like Michele Jackson.

Besides, I was under the understanding that MJ wore the glove so that he wouldn't leave fingerprints. [face_devil]

The glove of Michael Jackson's came out before ROTJ and other people did one glove like I remember seeing a photo of Prince with one glove.

I have connected this before, but Luke does not steal it from Michael and Michael does not steal it from Luke. It was a mechanical hand as was already stated but I am sure there must have been some joke on the set relating to it during filming.

Actually, if you want to be really technical about it, Luke didn't wear the black glove because of his mechanical hand, he wore it because one of Jabba the Hutt's goons blew a hole in his mechanical hand, and he used the glove to cover up the damage.

Though I have a couple of questions about that:

    1) Why does Luke keep wearing the glove throughout the movie? Couldn't the rebels have fixed his hand up?

    2) If you're going to put on a glove to cover up damage like that, wouldn't you put gloves on BOTH hands? Only wearing a glove on only one hand is going to make people curious almost as much as a gaping hole with wires sticking out of it.

    1. He wore the glove throughout the rest of the movie because there was very little time to get it fixed up, considering everything else that was going on at the time. Yes, he could have had it fixed up during the time before they went to Endor, but I'll wager a guess that Luke was rather more preoccupied with confronting his father than getting the danged thing fixed. Plus, there is the dramatic element of Luke looking at the hand during the duel near the end...that's probably the real reason why he has the glove on during the rest of the movie, because that scene works on a visual level.

    2. Luke has bigger things to worry about than what the heck others think about his hand...and how many people really knew he had an artificial one in the first place? And to be honest, most people in the Rebellion wouldn't have been that concerned with the look, because they also had bigger fish to fry at the time.

Now, I would like a reasonable and rational explanation for why Luke would be wearing a black glove on that hand AFTER the events of ROTJ. During the movie, fine, I can accept that...but FIVE YEARS LATER? Any EU fans wanna explain that one to me?

Possible Solution: The Rebel Technicians were too lazy to get it fixed so he is forever cursed to wear a black glove.

Alternate possible solution: Lukes Lightsaber melted the glove to his hand and he couldnt get it off.

Alternate Alternate possible solution: He thought it looked cool.

AAAPS (ahh laziness I know you well): he wanted something to remind him of what he never wanted to become, just like his father.

Note: Iam not an EU fan, Im just guessing.

Is it safe to say that Jackson is a Changeling?
