Luminara Unduli costume help needed!!

I have everything figured out except for the headpiece/hat she wears. I was hoping someone would be nice enough to offer some suggestions to get me started. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

ok ive never done this costume but maybe is u attach like birthdat hats on each side of a basball cap without the viser then put the materail over it or something

Do an internet search for instructions on making a pharoah's headpiece. It's very similar to that in shape.

 

The base should porbably be something vaguely hat-like, unless you use something like you find in bridal veils...which you should be able to find at your local fabric/craft store...

It may be made similarly to a Nun's habit, but I'm not really for certain on that one...

I think it's more toward the pharoah's headpiece. Nun one is kinda a "hat" top and a cloth over it hanging freely.

I donno why but I think one of the Asian tribes may have this kinda of headgear too but I just can't seem to remember which cause there are a LOT. ?

 

I am bumping this up hoping to find someone who can help me with this.
I have been thinking about it's construction and I will be starting to tinker with it in a couple of weeks. So far I think I will make it out of felt because felt will give it more shape.

A friend of mine is making this costume, and she ahd the same problems w/ the headgear too. When I see her next, I'll ask her how she solved the problem and post her tips here for you.
