It's not the best, by any means, but I read those Jude Watson Obi-Wan/Siri Tachi books over and over as a kid. So I have a lot of affection despite their, ah, lack of quality.

I’m partial to Darth Plagueis. But I also like Outbound Flight quite a bit.

I guess, what I’m saying is, James Luceno should do a 400 page “C’Baoth” book and I’d be in flavour town.

    • My favorite prequel book is Shatterpoint, because I'm a junkie for action romps that also have a Point.
    • My favorite prequel comic is the Jabiim arc from Republic, because <see above>, and I think those Padawans all should have appeared in more material (set before the story, obviously). As a bonus, my ironic favorite is Starcrash because it's not good but I like that for some reason a random issue of the only ongoing Star Wars comic at the time decided to do an extended homage to Legend of Zelda.
    • I don't think I have a favorite prequel short story; I'm sure I've read some, but none come to mind. I did for years pine after "The Tenebrous Way" for a while, and when I finally obtained a copy, I was underwhelmed; it's cute, but wasn't really worth the wait.

Kind of a new topic, but talking about favorites in general:

Traitor, Destiny's Way, The Unifying Force, Darth Plagueis, Bloodline have to be my top novels (maybe missing a couple I'll regret I didn't mention here).

For comics: Legacy (volume 1), Knights of the Old Republic (starring Zayne), Knight Errant, Agent of the Empire... and while I read them long after they were "outdated," Tales of the Jedi.

Special shout-out to the Essential Atlas reference book.

For video games: Jedi Power Battles (PS1), TPM (PS1), ROTS (PS2), Galactic Battlegrounds (basically Age of Empires/Mythology except Star Wars), The Old Republic, and Fallen Order/ Jedi Survivor
(I wasn't a fan of TFU, don't really like the Lego or Battlefront stuff, and just missed the boat for KOTOR since I wasn't really into video games for like 10-15 years and that fell into that time)

Does anyone remember that old PC game that was about creating an ecoystem on one of Naboo's moons? It hardly had anything to do with Star Wars besides the wildlife of Naboo and your boss was Boss Nass. (They went so overboard with TPM stuff, compared to every other Star Wars movie before or after. I still remember my local Stop and Shop having banners of the different TPM characters for every aisle.)

I only found out about it years later, but Gungan Frontier does stand out to me because of its unique setup. Really shows what can be done in this franchise outside of the obvious.

Favorite prequel stuff hmm....you mean like pt related material or anything that is a prequel of anything else?

    Assuming the former:
Book - Yoda: Dark Rendezvous. An interesting exploration of some key prequel era characters.
Comic - Battle of Jabiim. For all the reasons that made it such a fan favorite.
Game - Starfighter and Jedi Starfighter. Beyond my bias for flying, they just really stick out in my head: the characters, the designs, the plots that might be simple but are most effective.

My favorite PT content is definitely Yoda: Dark Rendezvous.

OT is Choices of One. Random, I appreciate.

ST is generally Legacy of the Force.

My favorite PT content is definitely a mix of Maul: Son of Dathomir, Cloak of Deception, and The Cestus Deception.

OT is a hybrid of Catalyst, Tarkin, Allegiance, Han Solo Adventures, and Mask of Fear.

ST is between NJO, Legacy, and the Poe Dameron comic series (Following One Canon, I consider this part of the ST as well.)

Videogames: The list is rather limited but here's my few; Galactic Battlegrounds 1-2, Jedi Starfighter 1-2, Dark Forces, and Rogue Squadron 3. (Couldn't pick one in this case as these were the SW games that I still have at the moment.)

My favorite PT literature is definitely Jude Watson's work for Legends.

For Canon, I really like Master and Apprentice.

My favorite Legends PT content was the Republic series starting around issue #50. I enjoyed the title up to that point, but from there on it felt like quite the ride.

The other eras, for both continuities, I have to think about. Haven't read much of the canon PT era.

    Another fan!

They really need to bring back Sev'rance Tann. She was cool in so many ways.

The campaigns, especially the Clone Wars campaigns, were great. But also, we are talking a 2002 PC game.

I think they did another version of this kind of game, but not a true sequel: Empire At War. I just never fully got into it in the same way.

I think they're both on Steam now. I'm still so happy they brought back Jedi Power Battles to be compatible on modern devices.

I like Sev'rance and pretty much the CIS faction in both games (Alongside the GAR, Wookies, and Gungan factions)

I spent a lot of time with Sev'rance Tann lore, giving her a daughter in my RP's. Sybelle Tann, the daughter of Sev'rance and Vandalor.

Also, Sev'rance was clearly Dooku's first Sith apprentice.

I feel if someone like Filoni was reminded of her, she'd at least make it into an animated show.

Basically a female Thrawn, but for the Separatists, a proto-Ventress acolyte of Dooku's but more of a strategic general than an enforcer, Force-trained, with a cool yellow lightsaber... she'd be iconic.

I never played Galactic Battlegrounds back in the day for the same reason I figure it'd probably be really easy to pick up now - because from everything I can tell it's literally just Age of Star Wars.

I did get Empire at War, but I remember being a bit frustrated because I reaaaaaally wanted to see giant Endor-style space battles but it was hard to set them up. :p

    Some listed here: https://expanding-fronts.fandom.com/wiki/New_Features

But mostly a lot of basic stuff: better ai,bug fixes, making it work better on modern systems so on and etc.

Is the New Republic faction based more on Legends or on New EU? I see the First Order is there, but just curious.

Could be a mix of the two.
