Leia Organa Solo's worst nightmare had come to pass. She was babysitting her nephew by bringing him to a diplomatic reception. Of course, the delegats were entheuseastic over it as he is the child of the great Luke Skywalker. But that wasnt what made her cringe.

A Cammassi trustant had asked Ben if he intended to be a Jedi when he grew up.

Ben replied with a hint of her husbands accent.

"HELL YEAH"

Leia Organa Solo was going to murder her husband.

 

To the Sequel Advocates:

I've reached a decision; sorry, but there won't be a direct chronological sequel to this story.

Don't tar and feather me yet, though!; perhaps we can work out a compromise.

I will turn Male Bonding into a series of humor vignettes chronicling various moments between the Star Wars guys. Consider this the first, and be on the look out for more to come.

I'm going to end it like that joke teaser I did above, however.

?What?s wrong with greens?? Ben persisted. His face dawned with newfound comprehension. ?Are they woman food??

Han nodded nonchalantly. ?Yep. The womanest food.?

ROTFLMAO!

That was great! I haven't laughed that hard in a while. You got Han down perfectly. I liked Ben's characterization too.

I have the feeling that Luke's going to be doing a lot of reeducation after letting Uncle Han take over. If only we had all had Uncles like that.

I just read this on the excerpt thread, and I am aboslutely voting for this as the best humour or whatever it was nominatied for!! I was laughing OUT LOUD at this, and I rarely...I repeat...rarely laugh out loud at anything! Lady-Hermione, you are incredible, as I think I have mentioned before. UP!

 

He heard Luke ask Ben if he had a good time with his uncle as they disappeared around a corner.

Han had to smile, all remorse forgotten, as he heard Ben respond with a hearty, resounding, ?HELL YEAH!?

Great story! I really like seeing Han as a "role model".

?I?m really very sorry,? Luke sighed. ?But you know Mara. She? well? she?s not the type of woman that takes no for an answer.?

?So she?s the one that caused this?? Han laughed heartily as he gestured down at Ben. ?That little-- ha, I have something against her now--?

?What?? Luke?s face reddened with realization. ?No, Han, that?s not what I meant!?

?So you are to blame, eh, Kid?? Han flashed a proud smile. ?A Jedi knows no passion? My boot??

Great story, I love the idea of Han as the fun-uncle who lets you drink firewater and drive his car.

I also love the way Ben went from very tentative ?he-hell yeah? right up to ?HELL YEAH!?

Would have put a whole new complexion on the trench run in ANH if when they asked if he could pull out in time Luke had gone ?AH, HELL YEAH!? and when they asked if he could hit the exhaust port (can we hear a) ?HELLLL YEAAAAAHHH!?

And yeah, you gotta eat MAN-FOOD BOY! Burned on the Outside, Raw on the Inside, slathered in ketchup, and tasting of B-B-Q lighter fluid, with plenty of extra hot spices and stuffed with an entire chilli pepper! None of that there fancy well cooked tasty nonsense!

 

That was hilarious. Absolutely loved it.
