Al-RIGHT! We are discussing LOTR!...that has just made my day. I was reading The Silmarillion a few hours ago. It is so beautiful and fascinating. My mouth was open and my head was in the clouds. Anyone else read the Silmarillion?

My favorite LOTR character is Frodo, and my other favorites are Gandalf, Aragorn and Gollum. Gollum is fascinating.

Tinuviel! I never thought of Tinuviel. I just read that story a week ago. It's a beautiful story...everything Tolkien writes is beautiful...

 

Never read Silmarillion. I grew up on "the Hobbit", and I read FotR AFTER the movie, because I wanted to go in with no expectations.

 

I've never read the Silmarillion either. I read the Hobbit in grade three, and the LOTR trilogy in grade 9. The movie was beautiful, but Arwen was disappointing.

I've seen the movie. My favourite characters are Sauruman and Aragorn.

Also, I've read The Hobbit. My little brother is reading it right now. He likes LOTR too, because, as he says, it's cool.
