ST Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) in Episode VII

Some reports/statements say yes and some say no.

 

Fist fight but someone pulled a knife on him in the EU for Han.

 

In all honesty, I think his hair cut and being ~6 years older changed his appearance more than his accident did. Here are a few pictures showing the similarities when the haircut is similar:

I actually think he looks cooler in Empire and beyond, not that it matters either way.

 

I like the pic above, but his appearance in Flash was a little less flattering. Good acting though.

 

I think I also heard somewhere that the Wampa scene was written before the accident. Maybe the audio commentary but I'm not sure.

 

I was always under the impression that the Wampa scene was written because of the accident. To explain the changes in Mark's face.

In any event, I do believe that Mark met his future wife when he was having dental reconstruction from the accident. So it worked out for him in the end.

 

Just checked the commentary and George says it was kind of a coincidence that the scene was written but that it was written to keep the film suspenseful while the Empire is searching for the rebels.

Doesn't look too different to me. I actually think he's aged well.

 

He has. Some are just overly picky and don't like age. Their loss.

 

Don't worry everyone will age, I know this and it is fine for me.

 

Cushy thinks age is lovely especially for men. I am fine with too.

I didn't realize just how short Hamill was until I saw him at SW convention. He listed at 5'9 but Mark honestly looks shorter then that. My guess is he more like a "stretch 5'8"! LOL!!

On the plus side for Mark, he does to be in much better shape now and according to Forbes, could easily add another million or two to his $6 million net worth thanks to being in the next few chapters of SW.

 

I was guessing 5'7 but size doesn't matter. I think all age well it's simply others don't see it always due to biases.

 

I recall reading an interview, where he said he was 5'8" in 'heels' for ANH. Something about Lucas having a thing about his height and that he hadn't bothered about it prior to filming Star Wars.

Take from that what you will.

That makes sense. I always knew Mark has always been on the "shorter" side but I didn't realize just how short until again I saw him the convention. Again this isn't a bad thing, just a observation.

 

I hear harrison is shorter than he was made out to be. But maybe i am thinking of Costner.

 

Hamill is still taller than Tom Cruise. Which proves Yoda right. Size matters not. Hollywood magic, angles, costuming etc. can make any actor appear taller.

 

in 1995 I'd say he was 5'9" as he was barely shorter than I am (5'10") and was taller than my brother. Now, 20 years later and a man in his 60's, he could've shrunk a little

 

Hamill was always a little short for a Storm Trooper, but it doesn't matter.

 

Yep, it is established in universe that Luke is on the short side.

I can vouch for this. He is smaller than I expected, and Carrie is just tiny. But after seeing him in the flesh, he still looks good. Doesn't look his age.
