Spoiler Sam got a big Cap speech on TeeVee to make it official. I wonder if they do season 2 will it be renamed on the App as Captain America and the Winter Solider? Would it break the app? I'm not exactly mad they made Sharon the Power Broker, I'm mad she maybe killed off Batroc the Leaper. But he seems hopefully tough enough to survive a gunshot. Isaiah Bradley getting his own exhibit was nicely done, although it did kinda look like it was stashed away in a corner behind a wall which isn't great.
Spoiler That was a great finale. Seeing a live-action version of Sam’s Cap suit was great. They really pulled it off well. I’ve always loved the fact that Sam doesn’t just give up his own identity as Falcon when he takes on the Captain America moniker so I’m glad to see that here as well. This show was strong in the way it used Sam’s technology. Loved every second of it. I wonder where they’re going with Sharon as the Power Broker now that she’s been pardoned and is returning to government service. I’m starting to think she may be a Skrull. Nice glimpse of Walker as U.S. Agent and they are definitely setting up Dark Avengers or Thunderbolts or maybe a blending of the two. I bet we see Val recruit Yelena in Black Widow and we haven’t seen the last of Zemo either.
Yes, that was excellent, Spoiler particularly with Sam. I absolutely love how he used his counseling skills to make the GRC step down, amongst everything else he did. The moments with Isaiah were wonderful. The suit looks fantastic too (and Yay! Redwing is back...) Captain America And The Winter Soldier A slight change from the movie, but a big change. As far as Spoiler Sharon as the Power Broker. Eh, whatever. The irony of setting up a villainous network inside government agencies was a good call back to CATWS. History repeats itself even in the MCU. Spoiler And Buck may have found peace again. That’s cool. I enjoyed the show. Anyway,
A little messy. Spoiler I guess they did not want to give Sam too powerful a suit so more regular folks can fight him and the shield remains important for protection. I wasn't sure I liked Sharon as the Power Broker but I like her getting her fingers in the gov at the same time. Bucky's arc was quite good, finishing off with his doctor and his admission. best line, "I thought Cap was on the Moon?" We have to wait all way to June 11 for Loki?
Spoiler In the end the message of this shows is that more than muscle you need brain and a big heart to be a hero, to be able to face every chalenge along the way. Otherwise you'll fail as Walker did. In many ways this show made Sam a better hero than most of Marvel other ones. AS for the FlagSmashers in the end i understood they were part of plot created and manipulated by the Power Broker. Sharon probably wanted "super soldiers" to create chaos wordwide to later offer her "solution" to governments around the Globe: Nagel's serum. Also, i feel tthe series set a lot vilains/antagonists for MCU next phase. Walker will be around for a long time. So Sharon/power Broker probably will stick around for long too. Val/Madam Hydra is clearly following an agenda to create a force of super people. Maybe she'splaying along with Sharon. Also i'm not sure if that was the last time we saw the flagsmashers supersoldiers. Val mocked she could be behind the death of Karli's followers, but if it's true the explosion could be just a gimmick to let they scape to later join her organization. And since Zemo could send his butler to do a job, clearly the Raft* is a joke. And probably will become Thunderbolts base. *Would there be more super people inside the Raft. Seems such an expensive solution for common criminals.
I don't have the energy or care to even rant about this. I just don't care anymore but I'll say this, Falcon and Winter Soldier is definitely a show funded by the pentagon. I shouldn’t have been surprised by how it turned out to be.
Pretty much called it. Spoiler Sam attempted to peacefully bring down Karli, she tried to kill him and was taken out by Sharon. But Sam did try. And he did give that great speech to the GRC- proving that he is indeed the new Captain America. So, is there a reason Carl Lumbly was not credited? Seems like he should have been right after With Daniel Brühl... "And Carl Lumbly"
well everything played out just about exactly as i thought Spoiler i am sorry Sharon has gone bad. Sam's wing's sure fold up into nothing, just like magic.
Many suspect Spoiler Sharon is a skrull. Would work really well for Secret Invasion if that were the case.
Pretty good finale, all things considered, but felt a little off kilter at some points, where I wonder if the Covid reshoots scaled back some of the final set pieces a bit. Love Sam’s new suit, loved his speech, loved the way they dealt with Isaiah’s legacy, like the way Bucky handled his atonement. Feel like Sharon has some issues in execution here; it’s dangerously close to seeming like a Dan Didio-esque “It didn’t go the way I originally planned. And I now find this character redundant and wish to remake them into a villain to save resources.” And while I liked Walker’s key moment of choice, I kind of felt like USAgent’s moment should have been more somber and serious.
Well, keep in mind that John Walker was fighting a known terrorist, who was "blamed" for the death of Lamar. Lamar's life mattered. In a way, it could be argued that Walker was avenging Lamar's death, as Lamar was pretty much a family member to Walker. Which is why (at least in part) Walker continued to hunt down Karli. Walker is definitely no Steve Rogers, or Sam Wilson for that matter. And as it played out, in some of aspects, Walker reminds me of this guy... Also keep in mind that John Walker was stripped from the title of being Captain America in a public forum and discharged from the military without being able to hold a rank or be provided with any benefits. In this last episode we did see that Walker.... Spoiler saved the truck full of hostages from falling off that building structure, at least for the time being until the winged Captain America showed up. Falcon and the Winter Soldier has certainly blurred the lines between heroes and villains. The viewer has to take a deeper look into the labels of "terrorists, thugs and refugees" and consider the "why" of it all.
I've seen the show thanks. The only thing I need to keep in mind is never to expect good representation from greedy corporations especially from cowardly one like Disney that has been in bed with the Pentagon with their MCU projects from the beginning.
Man that was predictable. Spoiler Called it that Carter was Powerbroker. Called it that none of the super soldiers would survive. Was wrong about Walker thought he would die. I am actually glad I was wrong on that. Spoiler On Carter what a bad call of making her the villain. I get it good guy turned bad, but why her?
It is interesting how people can watch the same TV series and see totally different things. Falcon and the Winter Soldier has done a wonderful job in adapting the elements of the source material, like the origin story of John Walker and Sam's and Bucky's arc post Civil War. As for the MCU and Disney, I can't really say they're pro pentagon or in bed with the US military. Tony Stark saw the errors of being a weapons manufacture and pivoted away, thus making characters like Obadiah Stane and Justin Hammer bad guys. And Hulk is usually depicted as anti-military. Falcon and the Winter Soldier painted a very poor picture of the US military with the plight of Isaiah Bradley. And with John Walker, demonstrates why a perfect US soldier is not the perfect choice to wield the shield. It left a bloody stain on the mantle of Captain America. Well, I wouldn't say that none of the... Spoiler super soldiers did not die. John Walker is still running about. As for Sharon Carter, I would have been kind of disappointed if she just gave up everything she built in Madripoor after spending at least seven years as a fugitive once she gave Steve and Sam their gear back in Civil War. I mean, we seen her "lair" and influence in Madripoor. As for why... I do like the idea of Sharon being a Skrull.
