The Wonder Man series has resumed filming, following the halt resulting from the strikes. I still forget that this is something that is happening. Now, I vaguely recall the main casting, with the Blank Manta actor playing the titular character of Simon Williams. But I did not realize that the showrunner is Daniel Cretton (director of Shang-Chi, and apparently it's sequel after formerly being attached to direct Avengers 5), or that the cast includes Ed Harris (as Simon's agent) and Ben Kingsley (returning again as Trevor Slattery). So this is actually starting to sound like it could be a lot of fun, despite apathy for the character.
I sadly haven't had the chance to watch that yet. Didn't have HBO hooked up when it first aired. I fully intend to catch it, though- it is high on my list, but I paused my Max subscription after Barry finished. When I resubscribe I intend to hit up that, Last of Us (well, once I play the game first), and a few misc Adult Swim stuff I need to catch up on. And with AQM2 being pretty recent, that's where the association is for now .
They missed a wonderful opportunity to invert the comics at the end of WandaVision, by keeping both Visions and having the more 'human' vision made of pure energy become Wonder Man. (For those unfamiliar with the comic origins, Vision was an android created by Ultron using the brain engrams of the guy who became Wonder Man - while Wonder Man himself is made of 'pure ionic energy' or something like that, after a stereotypical exposure to radiation.)
