I'm doing a short video for my school and I created a Matrix Digital Rain intro using After Effects, but I don't have any sound effects to back it up. Where can I get some?

At a place where rain falls. Just record an empty street (what ever environment you need) where rain is falling and grab that audio track.

The only place I've found is to rip them from the Animatrix.

Oh... Well, that was not that obvious to me. I thought he was talking about some kind of digital rain plate or something like that. :-D

Whatever. You can get that sort of stuff here:

    Sounddogs

If you know what you´re looking for you can easily find stuff there.

    EDIT:

I created a Matrix Digital Rain intro using After Effects

Uhm... I didn´t see the word "intro" at all :)
But when I saw "matrix" and "rain" I emidiately thought about this:

Try the Animatrix dude, it's got opening rain titles without music, so you get a nice clear sound of the digital-rain. :D

Isn't there a screen saver of the Matrix code as well?

It probably doesn't have sound, but it might. You never know. Just have your sound recorder going then initialize the screen saver?

Could work, assuming it has sound.

I have several matrix screen savers and none have that sound.

The answer to this question is to get it off The Animatrix.

No the answer is to find a way to produce the sound yourself :D

Unfortunately, no one can answer this. They have to hear it for themselves...err, wait.

Yeah, The Animatrix has got it.

A long time ago somebody told me they have took the sound of real rain. They edited it with a soundfx-program.
You could try to make it the same way.
(OMG my english is so bad)

Don't you just love it when the person who asks the question never bothers to respond to the answers?

Yeah, but this wasn't nearly as profound as the "What is Meatball?"
