McCallum says 5 or 6 deleted scenes on Sith DVD

Thank goodness I wasn't here after TPM - everyone must have been wailing and screaming for months after beloved Qui-Gon was killed by Maul! All this wishing for Qui-Gon when the scene was scrapped early is just mind-boggling. People should simply pause their DVDs when Qui-Gon was supposed to speak, quickly glance at their Graphic Novel/Script/Novel and resume watching again!

Anyway, I hope the deleted scenes will be quite varied. Meetings, fighting, creatures, etc. I think Senators' meeting in Padme's apartment is a sure bet. I also strongly feel that Dagobah will be in.

Bail's office? That was an awesome set.
Extended DUEL with more dialogue?
NOS monster - another strong possibility, I think.

I personally would LOVE more Order 66. We saw too little of Mygeeto, Saleucami, Cato Neimoidia and Felucia.

The ground fight in Battle of Coruscant in which Yoda, Mace Windu, and Shaak Ti fought.(from the Clone Wars t.v. show, where Sidatine first gets kidnapped.)

The Loyalist Comittee meeting in Sidatine's office and him refusing to give up his emergency powers.

The meeting in Padme's apartment with C-3PO serving drinks and Jar Jar Binks, Bail Organa, Mon Mothma, and other Senators.

The meeting in Bail Organa's apartment.

More scenes in the Senate.

Extended Utapau scenes.

Obi-Wan choosing Boga.

Extended Order 66 scenes. (More planets, more Jedi dying.)

Show more clones leaving Kamino.

Bail Organa picking up Yoda after he leaves Kashyyyk.

Extended "Imperial speech" by Sidatine in the Senate.

Extended Obi-Wan vs. Anakin fight. (more dialogue)

i want these scenes to be included

1- senators reunion in padme's apartment
2- anakin killing shaak ti and any other adult jedi in the temple, only killing children doesnt make him look all that badass.
3- obi wan and padme reunion in her apartment when he asks her to help anakin if she could and when he tells her that he can sense that she and anakin are in love.
4- longer sidious/yoda fight.
5- palps and anakin walking when jar jar says hello to anakin.

1 and 5 are not that important to me but if GL doesnt include 2,3 and 4 ill be really

 

"Dar Wac gets OWNED by Mace and Posse. Yeah there was a scene filmed where the Rodian Aide gets force thrown into a wall as Mace and Posse move past him at his desk. They also take down some Guards. It was a great cut from the film since it was on redundant and delayed the Sidious confrontation, but I wouldn't mind seeing in as a deleted scene. Though I'm not sure if any animation was done on it since the entire room was blue screen. I hope if they show it that they complete the animation to a quality level. No need to see animation like the AOTC deleted scenes had. "

i would like to see only two of the three rebellion scenes put in, heres why

1.bail's apartment-mon mothma gets some realy cool lines here, we are introduced to bail and it is a different set. the meeting is smaller, which shows just how scarred everyone else must be to try and stop palpatine.

2. delegation scene-shows padme and anakin as posible political enemies, and gives a chance for palpatine to look at those who will soon see through his lies, and rebel.

i dont think we need the meeting in padme's apartment. its much too redundent of bail's office, and if i had to choose between them, i'd definitly go with bail's:the conversation is much more interesting.

 

In order of most want to least want.

1. Dagobah
2.. The start of the rebelion
3. Qui-Gon
4. More order 66 Especcially An killing adult jedi in temple!
5. More duel. (evrey duel extended as much as possible0
6. Shaak-ti's death either of them
7. Extended Ani killing sepratists with the dialage of like pieces and stuff
8. Chewbacca killing clones, with yoda being strange.
9. Picking Boga.

Well they inserted 2 scenes in TPM DVD: Extended Pod race and flying over Coruscant.


So why do I have a bad feeling that GL will insert these 2 scenes in ROTS:

1. Mace getting Force-Slammed by Palpatine.

2. YODA unleashes a ferocious assault on PALPATINE, causing him to almost go over the edge. The Dark Lord drops his lightsaber but recovers with a BLAST OF ENERGY from his hands that surrounds YODA. YODA is deflecting the Sith Lord's lightning bolts.

The energy bolts begin to arc back on the Emperor. It looks as if the Dark Lord is doomed.

YODA: Destroy you I will, just as Master Kenobi, your apprentice will destroy.

YODA jumps to a lower Senate Pod. PALPATINE reaches out with one hand, and a Senate pod is released from its mooring and heads toward the Podium. PALPATINE uses the Force to hurl pod after pod at YODA, who ducks and jumps from one flying pod to another.





That Yoda scene will not make sense, how could he have Sidious to be doomed and then jump away to a lower pod so Sidious could do his throwing pods onslaught on him???




He should leave it the way it is. If it's not broken, don't fix it.

I hate it when he keeps changing his movie.

 

I really want to see Qui-Gon (well hearing him is good enough). It just makes sense. Qui-Gon the Jedi that studied the force differently to every other Jedi (except possibly Dooku?) learns the key to destroying the Sith for good.
Surely they'll contact Liam Neeson and get him to do it. The movie just didn't feel right without Qui-Gon.

I also really want to see Wookies and more Yoda vs Stormtroopers,
A better force assault by mechanical Vader, preferably on Palpatine,
Senatorial rivalries (bail and others v Palpatine),
The Nos monster,
Extended fight of Obi-Wan vs Magna Guards,
More dialogue from The Duel,
Mace taking some bad guys down with him (red/blue guards or ?Dak War?) and extended dialogue with him and Palpatine
Yoda arriving on Dagobah
Palpatine and mechanical Vader's evil plans

 

If I'd have to pick 6 scenes for the dvd, I'd do this:

1. Anakin/Obi-Wan in the fuel shafts of the Invisible Hand
2. Obi-Wan talks to Padme about Anakin before leaving for Utapau
3. Obi-Wan fights the MagnaGuards
4. Boga's Death scene and the Nos Monster
5. Anakin kills Shaak Ti
6. Yoda speaks with Qui-Gon

If I could do more, I'd do this:

1. Extended Space Fight - More than just Buzz Droids
2. Anakin and Obi-Wan in the Invisible Hand's Fuel Shaft
3. Extended Dooku begging scene
4. Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Palpatine on the pipes inside the Invisible Hand
5. Grievous killing Shaak Ti
6. Grievous fighting Anakin and Obi-Wan
7. Mace meets Palpatine at the crash site
8. Padme and Bail trying to convince Palpatine to give up his powers
9. Obi-Wan speaks to Padme about Anakin's bad mood
10. Anakin complains to Palpatine that he isn't a Master and Obi-Wan went after Grievous
11. Aayla Secura and Ki-Adi Mundi's reports to Mace Windu
12. Obi-Wan selects Boga
13. Anakin arrives to see Padme, who is with Typho, and Anakin and Padme discuss the child's gender
14. 1st Senator Meeting
15. Obi-Wan battles the MagaGuards
16. 2nd Senator Meeting
17. Extended Obi-Wan/Grievous fight
18. Extended Kashyyyk battle
19. Chewie tears the arms off a droid

I don't get why we should only have 5 or 6 scenes. GIVE US THEM ALL!!! I understand that some of them won't be digitally worked on, but show us them anyway!

I want inserted into the movie itself - 1. Qui-Gon, 2. Dagobah, 3. Extra Kashyyyk inc. Yoda flipping out and Chewie in action.

 

Who would want MORE senate scenes???

Those scenes were some of most tedious moments of the saga.

 

My guess to the 6:

1. Fuel shafts on Invisible Hand
2. Some Birth of the Rebellion scene
3. Obi-Wan chooses Boga
4. Nos Monster
5. Extended duel
6. Yoda on Dagobah

The past scenes on the DVD's, to the best of my knowledge, have been just completely deleted stuff. But we did have an extended podrace on TPM DVD, so that makes me think they'd be willing to extend on the climactic duel.

 

Wow, I agree 100% with all of that.

And Lucas please, please, please let there be an option go watch the full-length film with or without the deleted scenes included. It's such a huge pain to have to go through a menu and watch each scene seperately. Can't there just be a Directors Cut edition or something? like LOTR?

Yes that would be perfect ,having the deleted scenes inserted into the actual films instead of separate in a deleted scene section. Thats why the LOTR trilogy Dvds are so popular because they have extended versions with lots of scene not seen in the cinema version.

Well Yes and No. It just means that Sidious took what Yoda dished out and Yoda still could not get it done.

If Yoda disarms Sidious, Sidious disarms him later on anyways.

That scene was cut for a reason just like when Mace got slammed by Palpy.

Both of them should not be put on the DVD, I don't mind it if was on the deleted features but not be put into the movie itself.

 

No way, I think they're some of the best. Better than pointless battles that go on for 15 minutes straight with nothing but action.

The screenplay makes it sound like Sidious caused a pod to head straight for Yoda, so Yoda had to get out of the way by moving somewhere else.

 

I want a scene where Yoda pulls off a breakdancing move right in Palp's face and says, "Served, you sucka are."

Knowing George, he'll probably still leave that scene out.

 

I will be happy with some deleted scenes.

It's too much to hope that we get everything, but I hope they do pack as much as possible onto the second disc.

Don't want them inserted though.
