McDonalds "I'm lovin it" commercials

I don't understand the commercials, especially the one where they are playing basketball with rollerblades on. What the heck is that about? No one does that.

 

I can't speculate on the "I'm Lovin' It!" campaign but I saw an ad McDonalds made specifically for Anzac Day here in Australia. Anzac Day, for those who aren't familiar, is like Rememberance Day or Memorial Day or whatever when you just give a nod to the returned soliders from previous wars, right? National public holiday and all that.

Anywho, I'm watching this march through the main steet of Sydney. All these old guys shuffling down the street, medals, slouch hats, flags, the whole bit. And McDonalds felt the need to interrupt my patriotism and national pride to show me a 17yr old girl carrying a cup coffee to a group of verterans at a table in one their comfortable air conditioned family dining establishments. It cuts back and forward between this girl and the table and one by one the old blokes dissolve out of shot leaving just one at the table looking very tired and forlorn.

And I just thought....is there any other way that a multinational company can defile and abuse a national symbol in pursuit of a profit?

I'll tell you, if McDonalds wanted to raise some quick cash off dead and dying soldiers, they could have made a lot more just raiding graves to pilfer medals or just sending some goons around to war widows and stealing their pension cheques.

In closing, **** you McDonalds Corporation and all your subsidiaries.

Only the greatest of fools gives his money to McDonald's in exchange for a fat ass, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and a greater chance of getting in a car wreck because he's stuffing his face with grease and sub-par meat while weaving his SUV around in traffic after a stop at the drive-thru [sic].
McDonald's = George Bush, and everything else that's wrong with the world.

 

Those ads have no purpose, except they try to grab the young population's attention with songs by rappers and fools. C'mon, I ain't wasting my life by going to Mcdonald's.

 

Don't like anything about McDonalds.

 

I don't like the one with the guy and girl on a date.

Guy: We'll have 2 Double Cheeseburgers

Girl: *Ohhh a control freak, thank god I can choose from the McValue Menu*

Oh shut up! These comercials are horrible.

 

I just saw one...and about lost my breakfast.

 

I hate the commercials with a passion everytime one comes on i change the station or channel. I do like some of their food but not much.

 

I hate how they start and end too...

I long for the return of the McDonalds commercials from my childhood. Characters like the well known Ronald McDonald,Hamburglar,Grimace and Birdie.As well as the lesser known characters of Mayor McCheese,Captain Crook,Big Mac,the Fry Guys and the Chicken McNuggets.

They were goofy but I loved it as a kid.

Gimme a break, who actually loves McDonald's that much? I mean, people go there for convenience purposes, NOT because it is the best dining experiance they've ever had, or the greatest food. This commerical campaign makes my fist clench.

Meh, I don't go to Wendy's often enough to make a good judgement. And their new spokeperson sucks. I want a CGI Dave Thomas!

I do like the McGriddle but haven't actually had one in quite awhile. So go ahead an tuck that finger of yours back.

 

I've boycotted McDonalds ever since their hormone-enriched 'meat' gave me man-boobies when I was a kid

 

I'd say they've changed their slogan so many times I have to take my shoes off to count.

I think that it's funny that a Burger joint now has more choices of chicken than it does for burgers.

 

Have any of you ever asked for your burger to be served rare? They won't do it, that is just wrong.

Way to ask for one of two things we're not allowed to do if customers asked.

1. Undercook meat
2. Put bottles in the microwave
