Meetra Surik's canon appearance (Revan spoilers)

The canon appearance of Revan has already been established, but there seems to be some confusion over this other issue. Wookiepedia did say that our favorite Jedi Exile's hair color was brown. As her Sar Wars miniature figure also has her as a burnette. But someone changed her wiki page to say her hair is blond. Is this because of some thing in the Revan novel? Can anone comment who has read it, to say for sure. I'm waiting for the PB. If so, I think I can guess at the possible scenario. She was originaly a burnette, but died her hair while in exile, to keep a lower profile. Can some one clear this up so we can fix the wiki page?

The novel says "Meetra had short brown hair".

So I guess this is just a typical case of a Wookiepedia mistake ( or sabotage ). It's sourced to the novel.

 

Then someone should fix what some schutta did. I don't have an account there.

 

Speaking of Wookieepedia sabotage, how do you go about reporting that? Some time ago I came across the entry for the NightWhispers (an elite Storm Commando unit mentioned in WEG's Instant Adventures and I think The Rebel SpecForces Handbook) and if a more recent canon source has stated that (as the WP stub now claims) they're a bunch of zombie warlock stormtroopers raised from the dead by Vader, well, whichever editor let that bit of bad fanon pass ought to be shot

I know. I severely wanted to edit this, but 1) I wanted to make sure this wasn't some actual canon perversion (as the icon indicates, I have a soft spot for the Empire's "black hats") and 2) not having Rules of Engagement in my WEG library I didn't want to rewrite it while missing what's probably 50% of the scant source material.

 

You can delete fanon crap yourself (if you have an account), or you can report it to a Wookieepedia admin. Or to any responsible Wookieepedian, really.

I have Rules of Engagement, so I'll look into it. But it probably is fanon.

EDIT: Maybe I'm missing something, but the only mention of the NightWhispers in RoE was sentence naming them as an example Storm Commando unit. So, definitely nothing about balms, elixirs, and undead stormtroopers.

While you are in the neighborhood, would you mind changing the hair color of Meetra "the Exile" Surik back to brown? Someone vandelized it.

Instant Adventures had them in one scenario as a "veteran" Storm Commando unit with higher skill ratings and more supporting firepower than those described in Galaxy Guide 9: Fragments From the Rim. They squared off against a Rebel SpecForce unit on a remote planet designated NCW-781 while trying to capture a Rebel operative designated "Prodigal-One." Previous incarnations of that Wook entry I believe also stated they were the "best of the best" within the Stormtrooper Corps, but I forget if that was backed up with a source. I've edited the entry to include the Instant Adventures info.

Given what we know, does anyone have any ideas which face in KOTOR would be Revan's "real" one? I actually always chose the Asian one, though that one lacks a beard.

Oddly enough, I'm not sure any of them fit perfectly... the one who has a goatee has a very noticeable scar that would surely be mentioned in narrative. The other one has a beard and no hair (which, I suppose, could fit, but it's an odd fit in my eyes).

"Mullet man" is the one who comes closest to what we have seen. Not sure if I should mention where that comes from, as it may to too much of a spoiler to some.

I can't seem to find the videos right now, maybe someone else can give a link. Anyway, Revan was kept alive by the Emperor in a stasis field. He gets freed by the player and you get to talk to him. He isn't wearing his mask at that point. With the style of TOR being a bit different from KOTOR it isn't a 100% match, but mullet man comes the closest to that look.

Frankly, I'd be far more pleased if they were confirmed to be the Empire's equivalent of the GAR's Squad Seven or the USA's SEAL Team 6 - the absolute best of the best in the Stormtrooper Corps. With the recent overdoses of videogame dark-side freaks in the Empire's service, it would be nice to see a plain old batch of mere mortal humans (okay, maybe Fett clones) terminating Rebel scum with prejudice

I think the first video was why some one changed the wikipage. The Revan novel and the figurine says Meetra's hair is brown but the video suggests her hair is blond or is it a light brown? eh, hard to tell, isn't it?

 

Regarding official site deletions, well, recall that everyone who is playing the beta is supposed to adhere to their non-disclosure agreement. And we know they've all done that, right. I can understand it to a degree, if you make it too easy -- easy enough to start having your non-hardcore watching the links -- then the market for those breaking the NDA just increases. There's always going to be people leaking -- the peer pressure is too great. But, anyone connected to the official sites can't expect to just ignore it.

Regarding the Exile's hair color, it's really a stupid revision. You can't really go by a Force-ghost. Otherwise, her hair would/should be. . . translucent blue.
