The movies don't actually state Plagueis was the Master of Sidious.

What we do know, according to RoTS, one Sith Lord manage to cheat death. The name Darth Ruin has been thrown around in the rumour mill, but this picture...



has a figure, who looks remarkably like Darth Plagueis.

 

I think we can safely say Daisy is Force sensitve. Still have my doubts about Boyega.

 

That's NOT Luke Skywalker...my guess is it's Adam Driver's character. This is what I think will happen. The bad guy will try to bring Kira to the dark side, after Luke has trained her. She attempts to kill him and fails. But instead of him killing Kira, he tells her to bring him Luke Skywalker who is in hiding. She refuses at first and he persuades her (like in that picture of him with his hands around her) Bring me Skywalker, or I will kill everyone you love, including Boyega's character who is held prisoner until she returns with Skywalker.

She returns with Skywalker, but something happens, and he does something he shouldn't and Luke Skywalker fails at what he was supposed to do. He saves Kira and Boyega's character, but makes matters worse in the process.

 

I doubt they will pay attention to EU though?

 

The cyborg could be Luke. He is caressing the helmet of Vader, he has a robotic right hand and he seems to be a white guy. But there could also be more to that.
What if the cave scene in ESB was an indication of what will happen in Episode VII? Imagine Luke meeting another Luke in Episode VII. Maybe a clone. Or maybe Darth Bane (or whoever the bad guy is) does look like Luke. Image the realization that Darth Bane is an ancestor of the Skywalker line. Maybe he was responsible for Anakin being born. Maybe the Skywalker line is connected to the Dark Side in a way we have not yet realized.
The first Sith becoming immortal by being reborn through the Force.

 

concept art is concept art. the peoples faces aren't going to represent actors that haven't been cast yet. this is definitely "kira".

The "cyborg" with Vader's helmet looks NOTHING like Luke. Definitely Driver's character.

Looks like the baddie has a damaged/scarred face and uses the remnants of Vader's helmet to construct his own mask. So it will possibly be a combination of a newly designed baddie with clear aspects of Vader's helmet which is something I had speculated. They want something to look like a nostalgic Vader with new stuff, but not to make the new stuff look like it's being copied from Vader. How else to bring Vader's costume into to than to deliberately have the character piece together Vader's old helmet and make it part of the story itself.

I like to look at these pics and play the infamous Emperor's Throne Room theme from Return of the Jedi.

I love that theme, I hope we get to hear it again In this trilogy.

 

Hmm on second look the villain here is definitely wearing Vader's melted helmet.

So that's real interesting. That looks like confirmation for the villain, which I think was the rumor way back. And we can presume this is the same grave robber? (Who is not Luke! Where did this damn rumor come from!)

 

He's not wearing Vader's helmet; just a breathing apparatus - like Darth Malgus and Plagueis both wore.

 

That cyborg looks bald to me. I see no 'definitely' at all about him wearing Vader's helmet Amazing the differences in all our various interpretations!

 

Another possibility is after getting her to bring Luke Skywalker to him, they duel and Luke Skywalker dies or does the same thing as Obi-wan and just vanishes before him and Kira. Kira thinks he's dead, that he killed her master, when in truth, he's only passed on to the other side. He helps her when they go against \he opposition of the New Rebellion, led by Leia. Kira flies in to save the day, just as Luke did and she learns Luke is not completely gone. Happy ending!!

I think that is definitely Vadmers helmet. It's a slightly stylistic cartoonish interpretation of it melted. If not it's certainly a very similar mask...

 

I thought it was an athletic cup. Who knew?

 

His hooded cloak looks kind of like the shape of Vader's helmet, but it's not, just drawn like that.

 

The mask part looks like anything worn by Vader, Malgus or other various Sith in the games, etc.

There is no helmet on his head at all.

 

I have to say that I really like the concept art, but to be honest, do not get where in the world these blog sites came up with the idea that the cyborg is Luke from these pictures. I do not see anything at all in the images that looks like him to me. Now maybe there's something to these rumors, maybe not, but if all there is to it is speculation based on these exact images, then I am completely skeptical that this is the case, and will remain so until some real on-set spoilers from reliable sources suggest it is true. If anything, supposed sources have said it is not true, or alternately, that it is true, but only from a certain point of view.

A couple other things that spring to mind:

-Who is the other person in the image of Kira with the lightsaber and the bad guy? I initially thought it was Luke at his feet, but maybe it's Boyega's character?
-At least some of these concepts have been used based on set pictures. However, some of the images of the same characters contradict each other, so obviously not all of these ideas will be used.
-The "Montross" character is Von Sydow's right? If so, his cybernetics look an awful lot like what the cybernetics on the alleged "Darth Luke" images look like. If there are two characters with the same look, that is a bad idea, so I doubt that will be the case. I also hope they don't use that name since it figured so prominently in the EU and will confuse some people.
-If the lightsaber found at the beginning is Luke's from Bespin, somebody did some digging to retrieve that. Also the case with Vader's helmet. Maybe someone obsessed with the Skywalker family due to the prophecy? If the rumors of Driver's character being an artifact or relic hunter are true, maybe they need a bunch of artifacts to activate the ancient weapon on the rumored Sith planet in some sort of ritual? If so, maybe Luke is trying to prevent that. Just something that seems plausible. I still think Driver is the bad guy, or one of them, considering that has been rumored since a very early stage.

 

Also, looks like light reflection on his skin. So, could still be "black" Boyega.

 

They were told by their source he was Luke, otherwise I doubt they would have made the connection either.

No one saw the leaked IR pic of the cyborg way back and thought "Darth Luke".
