it could fit Gleeson, he is white and a lot of people think he looks like Kenobi and Luke.

 

I do hope it's Gleeson rather than Hamill. Though, it is curiously suspicious that no one's seen any concept art of Luke and Leia yet. Lots of Han, but no Skywalker twins :/

 

they have seen I think one concept for Leia, the one with her and the Hutts family.

 

there is supposedly that concept image of driver, ford and hamil and luke looks like hes about to strike down han or something like that? wouldnt that imply that luke is not the cyborg, because in that particular concept art, he is luke?

 

Unless he becomes the cyborg by something catastrophic in the movie that leaves him changed...

I heard Cumberbatch was signing a deal with Disney and thought it was STAR WARS EPISODE VII villain. Guess not!

Does this mean the main villain has not been officially cast yet??

So if the villain was a mocap/cgi character would that fit in with the statements about old school fx?

 

nobody ever said that the whole movie will use old school fx.

 

Perhaps the main villain is motion cap. But, I don't think the "cyborg" character is motion capped. I don't think that character is the main villain. According to Faraci, it isn't Luke either.

Well, the cyborg character can certainly be achieved pretty much 100% practically (depending on the design and what they want him to do, maybe closer to 90%). So the villain (well, one of them) being mo-cap is a very intriguing development. Andy Serkis?

 

I guess. I'm getting a bit confused myself. I thought the dark knight character and cyborg/grave robber were one in the same? I guess the dark knight character is that other villain which appeared in concept art.

The point is, whatever the guy holding that "Kira" character is supposedly not Luke according to Faraci.

I don't know man. Its pretty much just gobbldie gook at this point.

 

I have a very hard time believing the main villain hasn't been cast yet even if the character is mo cap. Filming is over in three weeks for Christ sakes.

So, if Cumberbatch is out as either the villain and/or the dark knight and/or the cyborg and/or anything to do with Episode VII and the villain is mocap, then I have two questions.
1) What does this have to do with price of tea in China?
2) Does this mean Andy Serkis is playing the villain?

 

I do have to admit, though, all this stuff is really starting to confuse me. Which characters are which and stuff like that. Even the scoopers don't seem sure anymore. I kind if like that, TBH.

Dark Knight, yeah that character is a complete mystery. It could also be a placeholder.

 

Agreed. I'd be willing to bet that the villain of EPVII and the big bad of the ST were signed to the ST at the time the bulk of the cast was announced.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Adam Driver is the EPVII villain with Andy Serkis mocapping the ST big bad who will have limited screen time in EPVII.

 

the Dark Knight is a placeholder.
