Saga Minor characters you wish had bigger roles

Personally I really wish Moff Jerjerrod had been given his deleted scenes (or were they even filmed?) where he was ordered to fire on Endor. There's something fascinating about his character

I also would not have minded seeing Captain Typho have a bit of a bigger role. The eyepatch alone makes him cool xD

Honourable mentions: Some of the other bounty hunters in TESB, Chief Bast, Poggle the Lesser, Ki-Adi Mundi

 

Agreed about Jerjerrod. I liked how he and Vader are rivals in the first draft.

Daine Jir should have had a bigger role. He's commander of the 501st.

But yeah, I agree Typho and Jerjerrod need more material.

 

Boba Fett in Return of the Jedi. Count Dooku in Revenge of the Sith

 

Jerjerrod, Piett, Oola, Biggs, Dooku, Jango, Gunray and the separatist leaders should have also had more light shined on them and their side of the war.

 

Jabba and the Jawas. Sure Jabba is in 3 movies but in I and IV they're just quick scenes, he probably has 20 minutes of screen time across the saga. I really hope Disney's coming movies include some Jabba, or possibly his family if he has one, or other Hutts.

As for the Jawas, they are super cute and funny, and since you just know we'll inevitably see more of Tatooine, I hope they're included.

I wish there was more of young Owen and Beru in the PT.

And I'd really really like to see more of Aqbar and the squid people.

 

Wedge. Write a really good anthology movie about old general Wedge, and make it such a good part that Denis Lawson will want to reprise the role one last time.

Then I can die happy.

 

Boba Fett.

For crying out loud, give this guy some more scenes where he's doing stuff that show he's a cool bounty hunter.

Stormtrooper #439

He was cut down before being able to realize his true potential. Sure all his comrades were comically inept, but old 439 really had a chance. Damn Ewoks!

In all serious though, It has to be Boba Fett. I mean he did absolutely nothing but die pathetically, yet he is one of the most popular Star Wars characters ever. That practically defines wasted potential. Everyone was already prepared to love him, but he just gets (literally) pushed aside to his anticlimactic fate.

 

Captain Needa. An Imperial with honor would be fun to see.

 

Dooku by far. He's seen as the leader of the Separatist movement while also being Palpatine's apprentice. We probably should've seen him in TPM as a Jedi, with his turn in AOTC having ripple effects throughout the Order.

An honorable mention would be Jabba. His death is too quick, as he pretty much only appeared in ROTJ.

 

Darth Maul and Boba Fett. Star Wars is great at creating excellent villains and immediately killing them off. Also, Kitt Fisto.

 

Well, this is easy.

 

Definitely Boba Fett. There is so much merchandise about him but he had such a minor role.

 

I remember watching a youtube 'lets play' of TFU on the Felucia part and someone in the comments called Shaak Ti "Ahsoka".

My stomach turned.

You know what would've been cool? If Owen went with Anakin to find Shmi in AOTC. If Owen witnessed Anakin's rage, it would explain his fear in ANH. His overprotectiveness of Luke would be seen more noble.

I would love to have see more of CZ-4. He's my favourite droid. I'd love to know more about him.

Those 3 are my favorite characters lol.

 

Good choices.

 

Boba Fett and Shaak Ti particularly. We had plenty of Dooku in TCW, but I'd always be up for more Christopher Lee any day.
