MTV Movie Awards 2005 Results

Thursday's the Annual Movie Awards at 9PM on MTV. After reading the results, it looks to disappoint. At least it was watchable when LOTR ran the show for three years straight, but now their choics are just ridiculous.

Don't get me wrong, I never took it seriously by I always loved seeing LOTR cleaning house. This year's an understatement that they have no taste in movies.

Here's the link if you can't sit through the hellish torture on Thursday. Be warned it's as bad as it can get.

I didn`t really care I knew Napeleon Dynamite would take home the gold...

 

The only thing I can even partially agree with is Leo winning Best Male Preformance.

And thats just because I love The Aviator.

I would say that awarding LOTR is very consistant with their usual bad taste in movies.

My question is where are the good films?

Napoleon Dynamite doesn't deserve that much recognition. Neither does Mean Girls. For the teen fanbase, there were better films. Spiderman 2, Harry Potter POA, Kill Bill 2

And I don't want to get into an LOTR debate, but it ruled 3 out of the last 4 years with 17 Academy Awards. It's good taste.

 

I can only hope that some justice is due next year around this time.

On another note I watched Mean Girls again last night. Lindsay's going to lose whatever nice momentum she built with that film with her new keen skeletal-like frame...

 

MTV is such a joke... This just shows it more.
