My account is 24 years old. Can ya beat that?

Created my JC account in 1999. We were getting ready for this new movie called "The Phantom Menace." Powered through the PT and the Sarcasm Knight days. It has been more than a few minutes. But I still remember some old friends here from that age. We had some fun.

Is anyone else still around from those days?

I remember posting on the forum that led to this one, although I've long forgotten its name (or my username on it).

I actually posted here for a couple of years under a different username at first (again, long forgotten) but I vaguely recall got temp banned for something or other and created this account to quickly get back on. Then life got very busy and I just visited every few days, barely posting again for years.

So, yes, I've been around a long time, but not to the same loyal degree as Sarge, who I believe Lor San Tekka would refer to as 'royalty'.

 

Royalty? Hardly. Lord of Quitbies, maybe.

 

I do wonder who is the longest person to post here without being absent for like over half a year at a time. Although to be fair I think there are only like 20 users from pre 1999 left. So it’s probably not hard to figure out.

 

Pfft. Once we hit 50 years on the boards, the difference between a 50-year user and a 55-year user will fade into nothing

 

I think I might have faded into nothing by then!

 

Pffffft! Anybody who didn't join in the 1900's will always be a newb to me.

 

Mine is almost 18 years old. So, no I can't beat that Not even with my original one I had when I joined the first time right before AOTC came out. I lost that one though lol.

 

Some of us were being born at that time.

 

It's fun to look back at those old posts and times! I joined in 2003...probably to have more options for ROTS spoilers. I imagine I was lurking for some years before that (I had to spend my college years, 1997-2001 doing something! lol)

I had to go back and find my first post. I assumed it would be in the 3SA (Episode III-Spoilers Allowed) board. But it was in the Oceania board about a certain fraudulent grifting "inside source" whose name may not be allowed around here. I must have been lurking spoilers and researching credibility. After that I started posting in different parts of the boards. I did take a long break between 2006 and 2014 (I had a random post in 2007).

 

I love looking back at my posts leading up to AOTC and ROTS. So much excitement and anticipation! Also my college days. Good times…

 

can I ask how you find older posts? when I look at my post history I can't seem to go back further than 8 pages.

 

You have to click on “find older posts” at the bottom of the 8th page. You have to click it a bunch of times depending on how far back you want to go.

 

Wore a clip on lightsaber on my belt those years. Totally was a SW nerd.

 

Use the search bar in the upper right. For "Posted by Member" punch in your own name, and type in the search terms, or you can leave that blank. There's also options to search the specific thread you're in, the subforum, or the entire forum.

 

Had so many, many, many of those. I remember sword fighting with my brother back in those days.

 

Ya’ll just make me feel real young. A handful of you joined before I was even born lol.

 

They were robust and strong blades, great for heavy dueling.

 

I signed up a few months after Attack of the Clones was released because I was so excited for Episode III. I made a post that correctly predicted it would be called Revenge of the Sith!

HAHA. When you think about it was a pretty easy prediction. Return of the Jedi was originally called “Revenge of the Jedi” and George liked the title, but realized that the Jedi don’t seek revenge, Sith do! I don’t think I was the only person who predicted it.
