Trudeau is still under 14 day self-isolation due to his wife having it. Pretty funny to see a world leader using basic video teleconferencing in such a modest office setup.

WA state was finally called for Biden. (22,000 vote lead and 29,000 votes left to count, with a 1.4% advantage seems reasonable)...

Trudeau has been in isolation for five minutes and has already ditched the razor. In another two weeks he’ll be in tracksuits and slippers and will have grown a pony tail.

Still give him two weeks and he’ll look like Charles Manson. I know I’ve done the extended work from gig before and you end up becoming something from the Shining unless there’s intervention.

Mike DeWine's attempt to move tomorrow's primary in Ohio has been blocked.

    Chaos.

Even if it still happens tomorrow, the people of Ohio will probably not see it as legitimate.

All other states need to start delaying now, not wait to the last minute like Ohio.

It's a Dilbert cartoon about teleworking. So, you know, pretty important. Pretty. Important.

Basically, everyone after tomorrow has moved -- which is the right call -- but moving the elections tomorrow is, imo, more chaotic as long as precautions have been taken.

EDIT: Yeah, just saw that the new recommended limit is now 10 people in one place, so yeah -- no good suggestions either way then...

Looks like Ohio is back off again. What a gong show. No wonder GOP keep winning there.

They need to begin planning for November now.

Public health experts are saying we'll be lucky if we're out of this by then.

Is he though? He's all over the place when discussing politics. He's probably endorsed every single person to ever run for president at one time or another. I don't think he's as much a Trump supporter as he is just a regular a idiot.

Also, what the hell are you guys doing in this thread? Get over to the "Maclunky! Star Wars is bad" thread, watch the video that @Chewgumma posted, and like it.

I don't think it will last until November. July/August is more reasonable. Also, clinical trials of potential treatments will be completed by May, so we might be able to intervene more directly beyond prevention before the fall.

If not, the answer is simple: mail-in ballots. Every state should permit them, for any reason, for the general election. Can't get any more socially distant than that.

He made a whole blog dedicated to explaining how great Trump is in 2016. He really is.

How do you define "it"? The social distancing? Getting a vaccine developed? It's hard to find good info, but I've been reading this will be a problem until spring 2021 or a vaccine is reached.

The important thing is to stop listening to people who say best case scenarios are “more reasonable.” They are not.

I voted in person this morning in the Illinois primary and used a paper ballot in order to avoid touching the electronic voting system out of an abundance of paranoia.

So, Ohio's primary is definitely off. But the way it happened -- while probably a good thing -- was run straight out of the GOP playbook (and the Civil Rights playbook prior) for "how to get a court decision"...

    https://www.dispatch.com/news/20200...upreme-court-allows-delay-to-primary-election

Generically, the initial case was denied (as noted) and DeWine turned to the OHD to order everything closed (and the legal challenge to that was denied so here we are)... so, this type of election isn't Constitutionally-mandated as a general election is in November -- but don't be surprised if this is tried if there's still any COVID-19 hanging about...
