Naboo should have been Alderaan...

It would have created a so called "plot hole", especially after what Anakin said in AOTC about liking Naboo so much.


I disagree, I would have liked it because it would have shown how Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker are different, and how he is erasing everything of his past.

Would it have been too sad if Naboo/Alderaan was destroyed in ANH? Almost to the point of severe distraction. It would be very powerful and sad to think Padme's family, grave, gungans, etc all blow up. But I wonder if it would be too depressing.
