Need help finding a Star Wars gift...

I need help finding a high quality Star Wars pen to give as a gift. All I seem to find are novelty pens, but I'd like to find something a little more substantial that will last, yet I have had no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

 

You might need to have something personalized. You'll be hard-pressed to find SW themed stationery items that aren't of novelty quality.

 

I was thinking that back in the 90s, when Star Wars merchandising began to ramp back up, there were items like this in a catalog I have (it came with the 1995 VHS boxset release of the OT). So I did a little digging, and sure enough there are two pens in there. One is called "The Rebel Fighter pen" and the other "The Force Pen". Each came w/ a lifetime guarantee and were "Space Pens" (designed to write at any angle and in zero G) made by Fisher (presumably not Carrie Fisher, but she's a woman of many talents).

I hesitate to link directly to it since it's a retail site and I don't want to break any rules, but searching on Amazon doesn't seems to bring it up. I had to Google it, then click the right link. Google "Star Wars Fisher Space Pen" and then choose the matching Amazon link. Unfortunately it appears to be out of stock, but at least you can see if it's anything like what you were looking for, and then perhaps check eBay or even Fisher's own website to see if they have one. It has two reviews, both five stars.

So I found them. Well kinda. The Rebel pen can be found on EBay, 6 of them. The Force pen is like a ghost...I found one picture on the internet of it. Fisher Inc doesn't have any record of the pens....I must have them both now...can't...stop...searching...
