Not long after being taken as Dooku's padawan learner, the ten-year-old Qui-Gon returned to his homeworld for a time, which bears out the notion that the Council allows environmental contact, if not direct familial.

    Which book was that in?

    "What was Qui-Gon's home planet?"

Unknown. We do know he kept a rock from the planet's River of Light as a keepsake (NEGC) though no more info that I'm aware of. The daft Malastare theory was debunked a while ago.

And then there is the Council recommending and allowing Sharad Hett to go see his family! Aaargh!

The daft Malastare theory was debunked a while ago.

Eeh, how? There's nothing that says he can't have been born there. (Though it would be unusual for a human to be born on a planet of Grans and Dugs).

I think we can be fairly certain, based on the PT EU, that Jedi ARE allowed to visit their homeworlds, but probably usually only after their knighthood, or under strict conditions.

Both Quinlan and Aayla returned to their home and met their family as well, by the way.

The whole Horn story is impossible. For Corran to be born when he did, Nejaa had to have Valin when he was 6 or 7 years old.

The ages are consistent; if you let a Corellian year be 1.25 standard years, that fixes everything. In fact, that also makes some of the Corellian dates in Courtship make more sense....

I have next question about Nejaa.

I have waited for JT since the moment that I heard about Nejaa's being in this novel for first time. Why? - it's simple - I like Horns very much... But when I read TFN today, i was shocked...

While Obi-Wan is away on a mission during the Clone Wars, Anakin Skywalker is left behind at the Jedi Temple to prepare for his trials. During this time, the Separatists invade the planet Praesitlyn. Located on this planet is a communications relay station that connects Coruscant to the Outer Rim. Reinforcements are to be sent to the planet?s aid. The clone troopers are to be led by Jedi Master Nejaa Halcyon (Corran Horn?s biological father). Halcyon is known for his rouge ways, and his request for a second-in-command is no exception. He asks the Jedi Council to allow Anakin Skywalker to accompany him in battle.

Is that truth, that in JT Nejaa is Corran's father? Please, say it isn's so...! I am from Poland and I can't check it as long as JT will be realese in my country (february/march 2005).

Thank you for your answer - I hope it will be "Nejaa is Corran's grandfather and it is a mistake on TFN" :)

And sorry for my non-best English ;)

It's a TFN typo--Valin is mentioned as Neeja's son, and there' sno mention whatsoever of Corran. :)

    What's a luck... ;)
And the next question is: how old is Valin in JT? Is that mentioned?

    :)

Honestly, I don't remember. Part of me wants to say that they said he was five, but I don't have the book here to check, so I wouldn't rely on that. :)

The databanks says that Hal was an infant at the end of the Clone wars. This kind of makes corrans age impossible because that would mean that his father is only a year or two at most older then Luke.

What we need is for stackpoole to write the definitive Neeja Halcyon novel. So that we get the questions about Valins age and who the hell the Desert jedi guy was in Corrans vision and Elegos's genetic memory(Is it Obiwan or Anakin?)
