New Alderaan

what books is this in, i dont mean mentions but described and have people go there and talk about it?

Yeah, as far as I know, it was in the JA trilogy, where that Imperial commander guy from Carida went to kidnap Anakin. And then the mind-controlled Calamari came and saved him. Something like that. However, Dark Empire might have had Anoth in it too. Not sure.

The location of Anoth was known to 3 people-Ackbar, Luke, and Winter.

New Alderaan was a colony site, many knew its location.

 

Yep, New Alderaan was in Dark Empire 2. I think it was first mentioned as a Rebel safe world in the WEG Rebel Alliance sourcebook.

No, they are distinct planets... You can read about Anoth in the Jedi Academy Trilogy, New Alderaan is in DE IIRC...

 

I think there were two different New Alderaans, one was founded for Alderaanian refugees to go to and was known to the public (I believe Zsinj attacked it once). The other new Alderaaan is the one seen in DE2, where Jacen and Jaina were kept as children. The location of this one was kept secret. This was discovered by the Empire in DE2 however, so the kids were moved to Anoth.

 

Ah, I'd forgotten about Zsinj attacking New Alderaan. So there must be two different planets with the name - I'd always thought they were one and the same.

 

Didn't the Reborn Emperor send AT-ATs to New Alderaan, which was incidentally the HQ world for the NR in the DE (temporarily)
