We can probably meet for dinner one of the nights. We will be blocks from Old Town and across the street from the Paseo at Grand Slam.

Gary's Tux is good quality, but not the cheapest. Try Men's Wherehouse, there is one in Glendale, I think.

If not Mens Wherehouse, try three Day Suit broker, they could rent.

Just for fun, PM your size. I have one you can borrow if we fit, as long as you dry clean it. Seriosuly.

 

If you anticipate ever wearing a tux again, just buy one. It's worth it in the long run, and rented ones are just icky.

 

Mr. DH has one, his wedding one, with tails which would not work for an evening affair. I don't think it would fit any way. CBM is correct. It's worth buying if you wear it often.

 

I don't suppose the S.O. Galleria has any restaurants with a beer/wine license?

 

There's a Cheesecake Factory there.. They dispense CH3CH2OH.

 

How clever of you! Is it odd to look at a chemical formula and see that it is a sugar-based alcohol?

 

Woah, check out the big brain on TK! That's right! It's the formula for Ethyl Alcohol or Ethanol. Which is the type of alcohol found in my favorite beverages.

I hear tell that fruit smoothies are quite enhanced by the addition of a potato "boost"... I'm not ABSOLUTelty sure, since I don't do that kind of stuff. have I ever mentioned that I'm a big fan of Yakov SMIRNOFF? He's been known to POPOV at the mouth every now and then.

Edit: I gathered from context that it was the famed ethyl goodness... I was just surprised at myself for remembering enough of chemistry to recognize it as a glucose-based hydrocarbon. I thought I had permanently destroyed every brain cell I used in High School... bad fire... I suffered from the effects of smoke inhalation for years afterwards... Wow, I'm getting good at this!
