Here are some Star Wars Scenarios(Not necissarily actual Scenes), which I think would be awesome to put to earth music:

OK, You?re hiding in a dark alley, one of the few remaining Jedi. The purge is almost complete, the Dark Lords of the Sith have almost won. Except they still need to kill you. Then you hear the sound of death. Power Chords of Death. You see the silhouette of a dark figure holding a red blade. ?Back In Black? starts blaring right as the blade strikes you down.
    ?Back in Black? AC/DC

You?ve just crash-landed on Kashyyyk. As you jump out of your ship you hear an explosion. It sounded like a Wookiee firing his bowcaster at a Katarn but your not sure. More explosions follow. No this is definitely a battle. Then you hear the Guitar echo through the trees followed by wookiees swinging through the Trees firing steadily at Imperial Stormtroopers. You go back in your ship hit the Comm. and demand to know what?s going on. The only response was the Voice of Axl Rose Screaming out ?Welcome to the Jungle.?
?Welcome to the Jungle? Guns ?N Roses

The bounty?s been out on your head for almost a year now. You?re kind of surprised you?ve lasted this long. Thoughts like that plague you while you try to fall asleep. You hear the hiss of your door, but it?s too dark to tell who it is. A face hidden behind a Mandalorian Helmet peers down at you. After a second of staring down his blaster rifle you ask, ?Are you Boba Fett?? he just cocks his head and the music answers for him ?I Am Iron Man.? The last thing you?ll ever remember is the distorted guitar blasting out the tune.
    ?Iron Man? Black Sabbath

Jabba the Hutt finally got you. You put up a good fight. Now all you can do is wait out the time in your cell as Jabba decides what to do with you. You hear a noise in the cell next to you, and suddenly a Low mellow voice travels through the Air Vents ?I?m not the one who?s so far away, when I feel the Snake bite enter my Veins.? Another Prisoner begins to slap the beat on a pipe. That voice haunts you all the way to you death by the Rancor.
    ?Voodoo? GodSmack

Your ship was captured by an Imperial blockade. The Tractor beams pulled you in to the hanger bay. You and the other Rebel Troops closed in tight down the hallway blasters ready. Sparks fly out of the doorway. You breathe in deeply. As the door is kicked down and Stormtroopers charge in the all you can hear is ?Oh-Wha-ah-ah-ah.? Your dead before you can get down with the sickness.
    ?Down with the sickness? Disturbed

The Clone Wars were hard on everyone especially Jedi. You would know the separatist had taken you hostage. You stood in a dark room. A Microphone turns on and someone screams ?All Aboard, Hahaha? a few spotlights turn on revealing the rest of the Arena. The voice sounds again ?I-I-I-I-I.? Droidikas storm out and you fight a useless fight. Your body slummed to ground when song rang out ?I?m going off the rails on a Crazy Train?
    ?Crazy Train? Ozzy Osbourne

I know it's stupid and kinda pointless but I find them kinda funny

I've always felt most of the music from Gladiator would fit several situations. On a funny note, these songs would fit:

Leia's thinking about Han in Shadows of the Empire - "A Thousand Miles"-Vanessa Carlton.

Callista breaking up with Luke in Darksaber- "Jaded"-Aerosmith.

A friend put this into my head: when Xizor and Leia are smooching- "Rock Your Body"-Justin Timberlake(I hate this song, but said friend told me to put it on here).

Anytime Bria thought about Han- "On My Own"-Les Miserables.

And for some reason every time in the Thrawn Trilogy we have a scene in Thrawn's command room I always imagine opera music playing(hey if he likes art wouldn't it be possible he likes opera too? Or maybe I'm saying that 'cause I loooovvvve opera! [face_love] ) .

Wedge, Tycho, Hobbie and Wes getting their X-wings back in SoA: "Back in the Saddle" by Aerosmith.

During a scramble call, when the ship goes to general quarters and the flight crews prep the fighters for launch: The instrumental beginning to Boston's "Foreplay/Long time"

More as I think of them. :p

    Interesting thread idea.

Back in the old Tales of the Jedi days, you're a haughty, self-righteous female Jedi Knight with a rare gift of mastery of Jedi Battle Meditation. However, after getting caught up in the Sith War, you end up "rolling the dice with your life" and being captured by an evil Dark Lord of the Sith. After days of the worst torture imaginable, the Sith break you and you fall to the Dark Side. You are sent off on a mission to, in turn, break your possible lover. There, on a mountain plateau, you exit your ship to meet him to the tune of Poison's "Fallen Angel."

After your troops have just softened up the defender's base, it's time for the real action to begin. After several hours of orbital bombardment, your Sith army has now entered the base. With the advance assault force smacking down the opposition, it is time for you, the Dark Lord of the Sith, to make your appearance. The drums start up, as Metallica's "Enter Sandman" begins.

You are a clueless, yet whiny Jedi sibling who has been captured by a long-lost Dark Lord of the Sith, recently returned to the galaxy. Under her direction, you are tortured with the worst pain imaginable which easily breaks you into believing anything she says to be the truth, despite her flat-out telling you that it's all a lie. You end up sending your former colleague, a real Jedi Knight on a suicide mission to his death. While he is laying the smack down on literally thousands of enemy attackers, you end up escaping to safety. Scenes alternate between your comfort on a fleeing shuttle and a gruesome and terrible battle being waged by the one you hung out to dry. All against the backdrop of Ozzy's "No More Tears."

You and all your buddies just recently turned traitor against your government and joined up with a paramilitary terrorist military unit. Your commanders get word that a system defense platform is being readied by the government which, according to them, has the capacity to destroy a planet. Fearing that this would make short work of your group's treasonous actions, they stage a daring starfighter attack against this defense platform. You take off from your base to go attack the platform as the recognizeable tune of Europe's "The Final Countdown" starts up. The song takes on an alternate meaning when it becomes known that this defense platform is indeed counting down to fire at your base.

Kate Winslet recorded a song entitled "What If" for an animated version of "A Christmas Carol", and I think it would definitely work for Padme after Anakin turns to the dark side.

I always thought if someone made a Star Wars musical, the Imps would have to sing "I want to be bad"

And when Obi first meets Darth Vader, either "Back in Black" or that Eminem song that is like "gues who's back, back, back. Back again, gain, gain"

Also when Mara sends the Jade's Fire crashing into the Hand of Thrawn, "Hanging on a Moment"- Lifehouse

The bounty?s been out on your head for almost a year now. You?re kind of surprised you?ve lasted this long. Thoughts like that plague you while you try to fall asleep. Obi-Wan/Qui-Gon/Maul fight - We Will Rock You (Queen)

Battle of Geonosis - No Leaf Clover (Metallica)

Luke/Vader in ROTJ - Won't Back Down (Fuel)

Anakin Solo's death - Haunted (Evanescence)

You are one of the last Jedi alive during the Purge. You are on the run from the Empire and more importantly Vader. A group of Stormtroopers have you pinned down with blaster fire and they suddenly and unexpectedly stop. Vader walks in and tells the Stormtroopers, "I'll handle this." You ignite your saber rushing towards Vader to the tune of Rob Zombie's "Superbeast".

You and a fellow Jedi are fighting a large group of Vong. You two are holding your ground until they gang up and kill the other Jedi. Using the Force you bring his lightsaber to you. As the Vong close in you ignite the other saber. Knowing that this is the end you mutter the words "Bring it!" as Godsmack's "I Stand Alone" starts up.

You are a newly minted Jedi Knight, fighting a Dark Jedi criminal who killed your best friend. You aren't supposed to allow yourself to lose it over this, but you feel a lust for vengeance taking over your heart as you stare him down. His cold, uncaring eyes burrow into you with an evil smile on the caliber of Palpatine as you stare him down with a glance piercing enough to shatter an AT-AT walker to pieces. You utter a silent prayer to your dead Master to forgive you as you ignite your twin lightsabers and deliver the patented Neo "come on" gesture.

Just bring it, you Sith bastard. -- Hallowed Be Thy Name, Cradle of Filth

Funny you should mention that. I found listening to that soundtrack while reading the NJO novels was a perfect fit. I actually mistakenly took that to be  SW music when my mom had it on in the family room since i'd been listening to it for 17+ novels. Not the entire NJO however :p, just about the first half of the series, it just didn't pace a well with the second half IMO.

And might I add that you all listen to some very good music ;)

Genghis you used 2 songs I was gonna do tonite, I'll still use 1.

You're sitting in the cockpit of your old beatup T-65b. The cold of space is getting to your nerves. The battle's raging all around, you feel the excitement deep in your bones. BANG! you lost your wingmate. The Air get's caught in your throat. suddenly a noise crackles through the comm unit. "It's the Final Countdown"
    "The Final Countdown" Europe

You walk into a cantina. Smoke and dust fill the air. the smell of Alcohol mixes with the scent of dozens of Patrons. You walk up to the bar tender, and order an Eyeblaster. About half way through, a drunk Arconan starts a fight with you. You calmly take off your Rancor-Skin Jacket. you throw the Arconan into an old jukebox, and your favorite song starts to play.
    "Bad to Bone"

you flip on the Trusters and punch through the clouds and up into the higher atmosphere. music blaring loud. Your Skyhopper pulls a Barrel roll so fast a Hutt would loose his lunch. The chorus starts up. "I went to the Danger Zone"
    "Danger Zone" From Top Gun

Life as a bartender isn't easy. Early in the morning it's your job to drive drunken Patrons out of the Cantina. Not the brightest part of your day. Then it's time to sweep out that days mess. while you push your broom around and call for the last customers it's past last call, one guy decides to slip a Cred in the Jukebox. the song beutifully wraps up the night. you start to sing along as you watch everyone else leave "You don't have to go home but you can't stay here."

I find that most anything by Tool fits Star Wars well. However, a few slightly less serious suggestions:

Ganner's Revelation in Traitor: In the End, Linkin Park.

Obi-Wan, Luminara, Anakin, and Barriss in the last battle in Approaching Storm: U Can't Touch This, MC Hammer.

Corran going Jedi on the Invids in I, Jedi: I always imagined a no words sequence, just him pwning the Invids to the tune of Enter Sandman, by Metallica.

Charging into Mount Tantiss and C'baoth's Throne Room in The Last Command: Hall of the Mountain King, Edvard Grieg.

And yes, I have no taste in music. :p ;)

EDIT: The scene in VP where Yomin Carr unmasks himself and kills the other scientists: The Beautiful People, Marilyn Manson.

Almost anytime the Stormtroopers are on screen--"Bad boys, bad boys, watch'a gonna do? Watch'a gonna do when they come for you...."

When Obi-Wan flys through Kamino--"I want to fly like an eagle". Think about it,that one would fit perfectly! (exept for the fact that Obi-Wan doesn't like flying) Like the first few lyrics,

"I wanna fly like an eagle,to the Sea [Kamino],fly like an eagle let my sprits carry me,I want to fllyyyyy,Oh yeah, fly right into the future.... [that part fits especially well, since Obi-Wan's seeing a glimpse of the future by discovering the Clone Army]

The government you helped create and defend has fallen, and the survivors wer going to leave you to die in a useless holding acton while they plan to capitulate. Instead, with innovative tactics, old allies and friends, and some good old fashioned luck, you've out-generaled one of the best the Vong can bring. You take off in a damaged X-wing to escape, but see a transport about to be attacked by a squadron of coralskippers. Despite age, arthristis, and what seem to be impossible odds, you go in anyway.

The NJO has drawn to a close. The Vong war is over. Yet the galaxy has been drastically changed. "Where Do We Go From Here?" from Once More With Feeling.

Han and Leia's wedding- "Now I Have Everything" from Fiddler on the Roof

Vergere being Vergere- "Everything You KNow Is Wrong" by Weird Al

The Wraiths doing all those things they do when not kicking butt- "Boom Boom Ain't It Great to be Crazy?"

This is an awesome thread!! Here're some of my ideas

We have Shmi singing "Your Song" to Anakin when he's small.

"I can go the distance" from Disney's Hercules. Anakin when he's leaving Tatooine, Luke when he's leaving Tatooine, several other reprises....

With some minor lyrics changes, "Elephant Love Medley" from Moulin Rouge, when Anakin and Padmé are in the field .

"Men in Black" changed to "Men in Brown" for Anakin and Obi-Wan.

"Into the West" for Qui-Gon's death.

"I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Misérables after Anakin turns.

Um, more as I come up with them....
