Comics Obi-Wan & Anakin #1 (of 5)

Loved Jedi Quest when I was a kid. This could be a modern age reboot of that

 

Some of us like Anakin. Some of us prefer the prequels. Don't buy it, that's fine. I will

 

Thing is the ep1-2 gap, with Anakin, has been little explored - and Soule is a guy who I'll always keep an eye on.

As long as there's not a certain togruta in this, then I'll buy it in a heart beat.

 

Yeah the 10 years in-between or so is kind of largely unmined territory at this point.

 

I also like the Pre Clone Wars era, but why doess it have to be another Vader story?

 

Why would she be there? This sounds like it's set rather shortly after TPM (Anakin still looks like he's a kid on the cover).

 

Looking forward to learning more. I wonder what planet this will be on.

While I would have picked different Jedi (but that is me always fixating on side characters, I'm rarely that interested in the main characters with their Hero's Journeys and stuff) it's nice to see the Jedi doing their actual job.

 

Except that this apparently takes place on some distant planet. So at most, she gets a brief cameo near the beginning (or end).

As soon as we find out what Ahsoka's fate ends up being in the tv show I think we can fully expect marvel to jump right into Ahsoka material.

Always liked this era, hope indeed to see it getting expanded beyond a mini.

They've done a Leia comic, busy with Lando comic. C3PO and Chewbacca coming up.

 

I'd like to see a mini (or novel maybe) centered around Qui Gon and Dooku's time as master and apprentice personally.

 

Why do I get a feeling we might see a NU equivalent of the Blood Carver episode from Rogue Planet in this series?

 

I prefer things being handled on a mini-to-mini basis instead of ongoing titles. One thing that irked me about some of those *cough*Legacy*cough cough* was that significant, storyline-changing events mainly took place every tenth issue or more. I'd prefer shorter, more condensed stories that lead somewhere.
