    That pointless spin though... [face_laugh]

What if he plants a beacon in Tatooine like he did in Atollon ?

What if he takes over the Empire in the post-RotJ era alongside with Thrawn ? As a substitute for Jorus C'baoth ?

It was 1977. Disco dance moves were really mainstream. Old Ben was just keeping up with the times. [face_laugh]

I always liked the idea that Maul would try to get Obi-Wan to team up with him to take on Palpatine, as his hatred for Palpatine was now greater than his hatred for Obi-Wan. It would put Obi-Wan in a dilemma of trying to take down the Sith or playing the long game and protecting Luke, and of course, once he knew Maul knew he was on Tatooine, he wouldn't be able to let Maul escape with that knowledge.

However they do it, though, I can't wait. They were never going to do this in an anthology movie as it would require too much "how did Maul survive?" exposition for the general audience, so it's nice that they're doing it on TV.

Yep. As common knowledge as it is for the most hardcore Star Wars fans the vast majority of people who go to Star Wars movies still think Maul is dead. Too much exposition would be required to put it in a movie plus a lot of fans may of had a hard time getting into the story because Maul suddenly being alive was just thrown on them.

Even some fans who have followed the whole ''Maul's resurrection'' from the beginning weren't/aren't super keen on the idea. I personally was very much against the whole concept and whilst I have come to really quite like Maul in his new form it took his whole story and character development over multiple seasons (of two different shows mind you!) to get there. Having him just spontaneously reappear would be a massive sell to try and make.

That was NOT Lucas's vision at all. That's just fan head canon for why the duel in ANH looks so different from other duels. I'll make it simple it was a low budget movie and Lucas saw lightsabers as heavy broadswords at the time. He always had it choreographed like a Japense Kenpo. Once again something he changed in later films. This has nothing else to do with the Force being "Weak" in Vader/Kenobi. That's nonsense.

Yeah. And Vader wasn't played by Bob Anderson like in TESB and RotJ, and Sir Alec was just an older gentleman with no real experience in that field. Also, problems during filming of ANH in general and duel wasn't that important compared to all the other stuff.

Finally got around to watching season 3. What an incredible depiction of Guinness era Obi-Wan in Twin Suns. Brilliantly portrayed.

In retrospect, the pointless lightsaber flurry kind of happened. Though they weren't in combat, just showing off...

So it was awesome and I almost want to feel sorry for Maul.

But nah, he was too horrible in clone wars for me to go that far. Just no.

I don't see Obi Wan returning to Rebels, and I don't really want him to this late in the game. Though I admit the episode Twin Suns finally got me to start watching the entire show.

That was the appropriate way for Darth Maul to meet his permanent end, however anticlimactic the confrontation was. A poetic encounter with Old Ben on the planet where it all began. I felt Obi Wan's transition from McGregor to Guinness there, down to the lightsaber stance.

A horrible person. His character was very...Maul. He gives me the creeps waaaay more than Palpatine does.

I would've liked a scene where Obi-Wan slices Maul's body into 100 pieces, then burns them in his fire, then spreads the ashes over the Dune Sea. Just to make sure that this time he stays dead.

I think I could forgive Maul. Obi-Wan did. That shows that Obi-Wan is a pretty great Jedi.
