Pics? Well I posted some fall color photos over in JCC - Post Your Photos thread if that's what you're speaking about.

As far as yesterday's job interview (paraphrased): I came across as uncomfortable with my computer skills.
Uh, okay? I'm not that good at Excel & fairly good at Word, but - hmm. I learn quickly and I know the basics. Oh, well. Failure there.

    Which movie?
I'm rather eager to see this armored version in Jack the Giant Killer. He appears to be the only thing not CGI in the entire film, judging by the short trailer. I don;t think I can watch Impossible.... I have children and live right on a coastline. It's too close to home. (I will humbly endure any accusatioins of wussie-hood)

Wussie-hood, wussie-hood - nah, we wouldn't do that to you. Anyone know when that opens?

More bad, well sorta, news: the cat was apparently constipated and his tummy swollen, so off to the vet we went. Good news: his 10% kidney function remains stable. The bad news: his white blood cell count is very high but there's no indicators of why. The vet and I agreed to a round of antibiotics ($40.00/7 days); she suggested an ultrasound to check for a tumor (which could be followed by surgery if so indicated).

That's $300 or so spent that I can't afford right now and who knows what an ultrasound would cost, let alone surgery. And at 18 - is it worth it? I mean, yes, emotionally and all that, but ... sigh. We'll see how he responds to the antibiotics.

Anyone got a crystal ball to check for winning lottery numbers?

Yeah, if Qui Gon were here he woudln't bat an eyelash at helping you pick those lottery numbers. He didn't seem to have any trouble cheating at the dice game. ...
Sorry to hear about your feline friend. Hope those antibiotics do the trick. :(

The cover is pretty amazing and badass, except he looks a little old but I'm choosing to ignore that :)

Anyone who's recently lost nearly everything and everyone he loved would look a lot older. I really hope this ends up being the cover. Reminds me of the Obi-Wan cover from Legacy: Claws of the Dragon.

I hope the book does him justice. As a fan, one can't help but have high hopes about these things...

Of course, not to mention the ruggedness of the harsh landscape seems to have taken its toll as well. And I love the cover, it's fantastic, I'm sure it's what they're using.

He just looks far far older than 40ish to me - that's an easy way to show what he's been through, but I don't feel it's necessary, after all that's what the story is for. I don't have anything against it either though.

Beyond that, Ewan McGregor is 41 and he influences my perception of Obi-Wan in a way, and you know how when you love someone you see the beauty of their inner light more than anything? Yeah, that :) It's simply how I see Obi-Wan.

I really would like to hope the book will do him justice as well :) It *looks* really great

I'm looking forward to Jack, as well, I kind of liked the armored look at first glance [face_love] And I'm wary about The Impossible, but it has a happy ending it seems... I told Ewan I was pretty sure I was going to cry buckets and he did say it was very hard hitting, but what the heck, I'm not afraid to cry. We also stay at the coast quite often, there's a tsunami drill this week in fact as on the ring of fire it is not a matter of 'if' but a matter of 'when' ... and just how much you can prepare yourself, i suppose. I'm still looking forward to seeing him as a dad.

But anyway, no, the pics are from August: Osage County. I'll go find and post them now, plus new movie news as well!!

*heads on over to the Ewan thread...

Who did the paintings for the covers of Karen Miller's CW novels? (The Gambit ones, I mean) -- I really liked the portrait of Obi Wan there. And yes.... a book! Let's have it...

It was Craig Howell that did the cover illustration. I really love the cover!
