Maybe I'm a bit behind on the Message Boards, but did anyone else catch the foreshadowing when Obi-Wan and Anakin are walking into the nightclub and Obi-Wan asks: "Why do I have the feeling youre going to be the death of me" I just thought it was cool that GL threw that in there since as everyone knows Anakin becomes Vader...Vader kills Obi-Wan.

Yeah, it's a very well known quote (I laughed at the irony of it when I first heard it in theaters).

Yep, there are lots of little in-jokes like this hidden in the PT dialogue. There are more subtle ones, too, such as "The thought of not being with you ... I can't breathe!" (Vader), and "We could be stuck here a very looooong time" in TPM. (Obi-Wan WILL be stuck there a very looooong time ... ;) )

yeah it's the kind of things that people 20 years from now will find deeply incorporated into the greater vision of a six movie (so far) saga because they'll probably won't get that OT predates PT.

-''That's amazing!Who would think that Lucas would kill Ben in Episode IV?''

Yeah, I at times feel that we aren't the lucky ones and that the 1-6 viewers are lucky in a way we aren't. However we get to see the movies in theaters which they don't.

"However we get to see the movies in theaters which they don't."

They probably will (I doubt that the movies will never be seen in theaters again).

LOL. I always loved that line. One of the great ironies in the movie.

the "I love the Republic" (Palpatine) line is also rather amusing.

personally i think the whole idea of prequal Obi Wan is how much her differes from his OT counterpart. Hes gonna learn a whole lotta lessons in Episode 3. Also woldnt it be cool, if he refered to R2 as his little friend in the third act?
