I've just started the thrid book in Garth Nix's Abhorsen Trilogy, Sabriel, Lirael, Abhorsen and was wondering if anyone else has read them.

Did you enjoy them? Did reading it get you thinking about the next book in the series?

I'm throughly enjoying them, and have a few favorite characters, (I just can't choose) and just wanted others input on these awesome books!

Oh! Also who introduced you to the books? Did you just pick it up? or like me, did someone tell you to read them?

My sister told me to read Sabriel a long time ago, and picked it up one day when it was raining and I had nothing to do. :)

They're good books. It's amazing how often YA fiction seems to be as good as if not better than -- and more original than -- anything found on the adult shelves.

The first in the "trilogy" was great. As I understand it, the second wasn't written for years afterward, and while still good, wasn't anywhere near as strong as the first one.

I actually found both the first and the second very well writen. And the third so far is amazing aswell.

I also found out today that in March he's releasing yet another book with the same characters, set in the same world.

    ^^

If you havn't yet, go read Lirael.

I thought they were excellent, though Abhorsen is a bit of an anti-climax. Lirael and Abhorsen were supposed to be one book but he ran out of time, I understand.

I picked them up off the library shelf one day and loved them.

I liked all three books a ton, Abhorsen was well written, extremely well written and I loved the cliffie so to speak at the end of Lirael.

It annoyed me a little bit because my sister had Abhorsen and wasn't finished reading it yet.

    ***********SPOILER**********

Although The prologue was kinda sad and I hated that they lost Mogget, I'm missing his sarcasim.
