We will see how big they can get once we see these shows in 2023 and 2024.

Yes, but the line is getting fuzzier. I thought Andor looked better than most of the ST, but there were a couple CGI shots (like, say the mining pit on Kenari or the big flying rigs on Ferrix) where you could sort of detect a TV budget at play. But all the space and Coruscant scenes? Absolutely movie quality.

Andor definitely stands out from the recent SW content, and it does so for a variety of reasons. I'll only mention one for now that is related to what I was talking about above: budget.

It's easier for a more realistic show to overcome budget restraints IMO -- the main focus of the show is on dialogue and character. Unlike Kenobi and Boba Fett, Andor is less about spectacle or the Force. As a result, when it does work itself up to a big moment, it has the budget to pull it off.

As for the other shows that will be focusing so much on the Force and other wild elements, it remains to be seen if their creators will be able to consistently put out a quality episodes.

I hope there are lessons learned from the less effective shows, and also Andor, but pumping more money into the shows wouldn't hurt either.

Cos Palpatine and Bor Mullet like this.
  4. Will Thrawn have a connection with the First Order? i know the First Order was a creation of Palpatine but what if Thrawn wanted to use the First Order to stop the Grysks? the Grysks are the New Canon Version of the Yuuzhan Vong of course as far as we know they are called different and are more Nerfed but they are still a similar concept

We know Rae Sloane and her part of the Imperial remnants has or will call themselves The First Order. So maybe down the road we will see her and her faction of Imperial remnants. Moff Gideon might be connected or allied with them.

It does exist. The First Order was created when the remnants of the Imperial fleet fled into the Unknown Regions following the Battle of Jakku which was a year after Endor. It’s led by Admiral Rae Sloane at the moment.

Also there's the question of the Emperor's flagship that was, treated as a cliffhanger from the Aftermath trilogy books. That been tried to get into to a story many times. Could we see that in Mandalorian or Ahsoka or other New Republic era tv shows.

I wonder if all this magic-related stuff be the explanation of the means of how Palpatine returns in the ST as well as the foundation of the First Order and maybe even Exegol.

Maybe it will explain Snoke's creation, Palpatine's resurrection.

Seems quite possible, although it is a little funny that
plot point with a Nightsister apprentice reminds of Malicos from Fallen Order, who was probably inspired by C'baoth.

I admire people who manage to notice such things. When it comes to movies, I have a very strong tunnel vision (or, alternatively, a strong capacity for suspension of disbelief), so I very rarely catch supposedly cheap effects (beyond certain minimum level of competence). For instance, I was never bothered by the CGi clones in the prequel trilogy or by Takin's appearance in Rogue One. Moreover, eventually I even stopped noticing the lack of sets in Lars von Triers's Dogville and Manderlay.

God we can only hope not. That's a sure way to get me to check out of caring about the story. The ST is purely depressing to me from pretty much every angle. In many ways it feels like the antithesis of SW. And I'm not only talking about Ep 8, the whole thing felt beyond faux to me at least.

The name implies some similarity with its comparable vowel sounds to the original, but also differences, obviously. Jorus, if I recall, was mad from his cloning? I hope Baylon isn't totally nuts.

I've been craving another dark side character who isn't a Sith for years now, so maybe we'll see that this time. Since he's connected with the Nightsisters, maybe so.

Originally he was a mad from cloning, but after the Prequels came out and gave us a little more context about cloning Zahn retconned it in his novel Outbound Flight so that the original C’Baoth was unstable too.

hope he's not just mad for the sake of it, but perhaps traumatized by Order 66 and his experience in the Unknown Regions. At the very least, some kind of legit story reason should be provided if they keep this element. I prefer they move away from it, or as far away from it as possible.
